i have a question. Why is that the baritone takes a lot of the lead posts for this quartet? i'm not complaining (actually it is amazing) i'm just curious... oh, and solid bass! i'll take him anyday
You'll find loads of quartets that switch parts around in tags and posts: Keepsake, Gas House Gang and Vocal Spectrum just to name a few. If the baritone or the tenor finds the post more comfortable than the lead, they might as well swap =P
@ApollonianKing I saw these guys live and they're abolutely amazing to see but I agree one hundred percent and that was fairly disappointing. I was feeling some good ol' barbershop and they are more doo wopish
I was part of a chorus that did a show that Acoustix appeared on. They have a great ability to pull an audience in, even those that don't ordinarily enjoy barbershop-style harmonies (those godless Commies - jk). Rockapella is very similar in that way; even though they take more of a "boy band" approach, they cut their teeth at Brown University singing in this style. Great job and great song selection (plus the girl in the act looks great in the "Jeannie" costume).
1 fucker didn't like this... lol. Damn you anti-conformists... you must realize that someday your conforming to yourselves!!! You all act the same! ^.^ *Raises fist in air* WE MUST UNITE TO BE A BETTER PEOPLE!!!
wow I'm a 90's kid but I still know a lot of these. you can't beat the classics. and they're right who DOES know the themes to those reality TV shows? o.0;
Jason January the baritone was on the hanger on the tag. He has a A in his bag of talents. This happens on many Accoustics songs. Actually you will find many champ quartets hanging their baritones on tags.
Here is what I heard (in order, show names not song names): 1. All in the Family 2. The Jeffersons 3. The Patti Duke Show 4. The Dick Van Dyke Show 5. Flipper 6. The Flintstones 7. The Addams Family 8. The Beverly Hillbillies 9. Green Acres 10. The Andy Griffith Show
11. F-Troop 12. Happy Days 13. The Monkees 14. Danger Man (UK) - Secret Agent Man (US) 15. That Girl 16. Popeye 17. My Three Sons 18. Dallas 19. Hawaii Five-O 20. Mod Squad 21. The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson 22. The Muppet Show 23. Top Cat 24. The Love Boat
25. Petticoat Junction 26. Mr. Ed 27. Bonanza 28. Hogan's Heroes 29. I Love Lucy 30. Friends 31. Jeopardy 32. Sesame Street 33. The Odd Couple 34. The Carol Burnett Show 35. George of the Jungle 36. Love American Style 37. I Dream of Jeanie 38. Laverne and Shirley 39. Underdog 40. Star Trek
41. Mighty Mouse 42. The Twilight Zone 43. Dragnet 44. Cheers 45. The Brady Bunch 46. Gilligan's Island 47. Maud 48. Batman (60's) 49. Spiderman (60's) 50. Mission Impossible 51. The Mickey Mouse Club 52. All in the Family (reprise) with ... 53. ...Daniel Boone 54. ...Candid Camera 55. ...The Jetsons
Does anyone know what the tune is the the tenor, I think todd wilson, sings after My three sons?

I would pay for a barbershop arrangement of the Cheers theme. If anyone knows of one or would like to negotiate a deal for one, message me.

I've got no idea what the significance of Lester Rector was at 1:51 (is that Lestor?) but for whatever reason, I found it hilarious =P

@MTGlipp It's just because he has red hair like the kid from that show.

This borders on Doo Wop instead of Barbershop.
