Mopeds and motorcycles are dangerous machines.. I had a motorbike falling over just in front of me the other day, as I was walking.. Luckily he was going slow, but still rolled (off the bike) along the road for quite a while! Had a car come in the opposite direction he would have gone under it.. luckily he got up uninjured from it all, just shaken..
I didn't see anyone else involved, but when I first came across the accident, there were many cars stopped in the west bound lane of course. So who know what might of happened.
One small error in judgement can injure for life... it's sad.

Good coverage Chris. Those smaller bikes are everywhere nowadays and make me uneasy when I am driving. Hope the fellow is okay.

A police officer went with the guy in the ambulance which probably means the guy was impaired.
Simple accidents officers will talk to the driver at the hospital.

Yes, a black moped in front of the person who is hurt, they landed face down on the sidewalk - face down..... I didn't see them crash.
