Great to hear this once in awhile. The Deal sisters and Donelly make a great front line but the backbone in this and other Breeders/Pixies rockin' tunes is Jim MacPherson on percussion. He's a natural with the timing and expression of force. Seemed content to always take the backseat creatively and on stage. He didn't go to other bands but he sure could have.

The Breeders are a spin-off of the Pixies (who were influenced by the Velvet Underground), who are also the genesis of the whole "Alternative Rock" genre that blew up in the the early 90's. Young music afficianados really should trace back the roots of their favorite bands, they might discover a whole world of music they never knew existed and love it, or at least they will learn their favorite bands influences.

@3socksThree I do agree about tracing the roots of your fave bands. Even though I love the music of the '90's, I'm more of a fan of the bands of the 80's, and I always traced their roots. That's the reason why I like music from the 60's and 70's, too.
