Most likely you don't have the system requirements...

Two options, Delete all unwanted folders, clear out the computer of anything and everything you don't use (clean internet history, msn chats ect...) and uninstall and reinstall...

or just buy a new computer.

It's ok you pc/computer is not compatible with The Sims 3. I know it's really annyoing but thats what happend when i had it on my pc, xp and 7 computer and that happend so i couldent play my sims so all i did was put it on my vista pc workes perfectly so i would recamend you to ither put it on a compatible laptop or use vista laptop or pc/computer.

1. Clean your disk. No, not with your t-shirt. With proper spray

2. Undownload Sims 3 and redownload it

4. Do a virus scan. AVG is good.

5. Check the fan on the back of your computer for dust. If there is any, wipe it off

oh i didn't see the whole thing. I've had this happen before. I believe. Try reinstalling. IT may be a graphics card error. Do you meet the mimium requirements? If not that is why.
