@BizzMarki You are being cynical. Maybe you should find out what it takes to make a kosher kitchen. How familiary are you with the kashrut laws, that are as complicated as any lawboook. Do you know what worldwide travel, inspections and chemistry knowledge it takes to certify a manufactured product, to ensure customers that the product does not contain chemicals that come from non-kosher sources.
@renayitz I had two Jewish roommates in college so yes I know a thing or two about kosher, I was just joking because kosher products tend to be very expensive. The laws are based on an entire set of archaic rules set out in the Old Testament. They made a lot of sense back then when sanitary standards were poor and modern disinfectants and soaps didn't exist. Today, it doesn't really serve any purpose besides to keep with tradition (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

The Constitution implies that government cannot support financially a single organized church as a state religion and it cannot force people to follow a specific church. That means that the government cannot support just one religion, such as Presbyterian, or Roman Catholic or Islam but it can help people follow all the religions. I live in Israel, where this sort of thing is commonplace. @IrisMG Kosher is a way to describe food that is allowed to be eaten by Jews. Certain animals, like pigs or horses, are not kosher, and even those that are, like cows or chickens, have to be killed in a very precise manner. The blade of the knife has to be juuuust right, the animal can't be a "downer", and also can't be electrocuted (which is why kosher beef will never have mad cow disease). I reccomend that you look up the history of kashrut, its quite fascinating as a religious practice.

Do you know what worldwide travel, inspections and chemistry knowledge it takes to certify a manufactured product, to ensure customers that the product does not contain chemicals that come from non-kosher sources.

@renayitz I had two Jewish roommates in college so yes I know a thing or two about kosher, I was just joking because kosher products tend to be very expensive. The laws are based on an entire set of archaic rules set out in the Old Testament. They made a lot of sense back then when sanitary standards were poor and modern disinfectants and soaps didn't exist. Today, it doesn't really serve any purpose besides to keep with tradition (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

Just because you knew Jewish people doesn't make you - or your Jewish roommates - experts on kashrut.There are scholars who have full time jobs supervising factories and restaurants around the world, and they have to consult with food chemists in addition to ensuring that kashrult laws are followed in food production. Many of the food you eat are certified, from Coca Cola to Heinz, you name it.

I live in Israel, where this sort of thing is commonplace. A lot of us aren't happy about businesses (and in some cases, the government) having to shell out good money for Kosher inspectors enforcing these ridiculous laws, whose connection to the actual bible is loose at best. And now it looks like they've invaded the White House, too :(
It's not really a big deal I suppose, it just annoys me a little a bit.

- The fact that everyone bears the cost of Kosher inspections, not just the consumers interested in this service

I don't see why there's all this dislike. Jewish culture is fascinating; it's had 3000 years to collect traditions and stories. 3000 years ago, people were still using cuneiform and Egyptian hieroglyphs as writing in the Middle East, and alphabets were just starting to be used!
If the ancestry isn't convincing enough: Christianity was based in Jewish traditions. Yes, it adopted countless elements from other traditions, but the core of it is Judaic-based.

I've never met or knowingly seen any Jewish people, nor have I eaten their food, seen their churches, read their Torah or learned any of their traditions. I thank the current administration for being so much more internet savvy and open and willing to embrace other cultures. It's wonderful. @IrisMG Kosher is a way to describe food that is allowed to be eaten by Jews. Certain animals, like pigs or horses, are not kosher, and even those that are, like cows or chickens, have to be killed in a very precise manner. The blade of the knife has to be juuuust right, the animal can't be a "downer", and also can't be electrocuted (which is why kosher beef will never have mad cow disease). I reccomend that you look up the history of kashrut, its quite fascinating as a religious practice.
