I don't even know why they're bothering with all this bailout bullshit. The only thing that can help our economy is lowering gas prices. That's the root cause of this whole mess in the first place; gas prices. When the price of gas goes up, the price of EVERYTHING goes up. That means the dollar has less buying power and then everybody is fucked.
Gas price has its affects but you show that you have little or no understanding of the economy or the money system and the affects of the privet Federal Reserve. Gas prices could go back to 1.50 a gallon and that would not fix our economy. That it was as simple as you think....
Did the pres just announce that it will become a "junk debt buyer"? Are they buying bad debt to collect it from the individual debter (as a jdb would)?
What just happened (besides the Pres replacing the word "persecution" for the word "prosicution"??
This hit today. 50 billion initial god know how much after that. The executives of these companies should be shot. They gave mortgages to people that didn't deserve them and then in 5 years the monthly payments doubled to the right rate. This made for extreme inflation of the market because of fast swapping. People tried to play this like the stock market but when prices hit the roof they were stuck with houses they couldn't afford. Enron caused this by shaking the faith in the market.
i'm a libertarian, strict constitutional interpretation. i vote democrat because republicans... well republicans aren't republicans any more anyway in the last 8 years.
i submit to you, that baillouts, all baillouts are unconstitutional, and not a power given to the congress. and no one is calling them on this. no lawyers are filing in supreme court to even ask the question.
so we the people are left to the mercy of a congress gone mad.
Problem Reaction Solution. The problem here is human nature ie. greed. The government didn't want the house of cards collapsing so they inflated the huge credit bubble. Now that its rapidly shrinking they offer a solution which is essentially put your faith in government. The problem is that criminals are running our government. How can we expect that to serve as an example for the average person?
As David Stockman, the Reagan Dir. of Office of Management and Budget, alluded to in his 1986 book, the intention of the Republican party is to bankrupt the U.S. so they can destroy Social Security and other programs from the Roosevelt era. Much of what is happening is by design and the wealthy are being protected and rest of us will have to pay. Stay sleeping America and when you wake up don't be surprised at the chains that are binding you.
At some point here I'm going to break all my social contracts, turn 180 degrees, run up all the possible debt I can, pull it out of the banks, and never pay it back. Oh and stop paying all taxes. Congress no longer cares about the Constitution, so fine... I rescind your sovereignty, your authority, and your reason to exist.
