Second since they have cast a similar, but not same voice, different enough to dissociate with Gotfried I believe you should recheck YOUR facts. YouTube Dan McKeague, he's the new voice, similar, but different.

Alright let me start by saying I wasn't meaning to be derogatory, even that's how it came across so I apologize. I don't mean to discourage anyone as I aspire to one day do animated voices (even though I don't know where to start).I was just stating the way I interpreted the contest, you have a better chance than I do because I didn't get my submission in on time. The entire point of recasting the duck was to disassociate from Gottfried and the insensitive comments. The same voice would be bad press. Sorry to burst your bubble.

@SuperDaveRT I believe I heard a casting director say on a CBS clip that they were looking for someone "similer, but different". They did'nt make it a secret as to what they were looking for. It's over now I suppose anyway. No need for the negative... The whole proces has inspired me to get on Youtube again and to reconsider my potential... All in all a big WIN!

I've been tweeting up a storm about your vid here, but the powers that be (cough) are not showing interest. WTF? Did I.Q.'s sharply drop while I was on vacation? According to the online text from the AFLAC page, they said were looking for a NEW VOICE...NOT a NEW SOUND.

This may very well turn out to be another fiasco drama queen competition like so many other lame events.
