OK I know i'm not the best pianist on the planet but I feel like he hit a lot of wrong notes....and he didn't start from the beginning...and I don't like his 'improv'. Lang Lang is a great pianist don't get me wrong, I just feel like this was an incredibly weak performance.

But thats just me...

Totally agree with Classicmusic only, even i'm a big fan of Lang Lang, i'm just really really suprised to this performance, i can't even regconised him, now, his taste has changed so much!!!

Go find some album of Lang Lang few years ago, his playing of Rach Sonata or Schumann Abegg were so much better, trusst me!!

Everyone has their own way of playing the piano , and just because some people disagree with Lang Lang's playing dosen't mean hes horrible. He is known because China promotes him up and higher. I personally don't like his playing. I find it very aggressive and un-musical , but thats my humble opinion. Others might think that this is simply the best they ever heard. He might destroy the piece to some people but some people love it. And I personally adore his technique. Never seen such wonders!

this is fabulous! i appreciate how Lang Lang is embracing his emotion in the music! he really proves that there are no rules in the progression of culture and that even old pieces can be dusted off and given a new finish!!

Yeh he doesnt even start at the beginning. But i did watch him play the whole thing at the British Royal Variety Performance one year, absolutely spectacular.

Lang Lang is a good piano player but I kinda pictures this song a little different. I'm playing this song in band and i figured it be different sounding on piano since i think it was originally for piano. Ours is a band arrangement and I play the clarinet. Still, he's really good!
