A source from a team that is involved in negotiations told the L.A. Times that the Nats will go to 10 years and more than $20 million per season for Mark Teixeira.
The same source said the Orioles would possibly be willing to go to nine years for at least $20 million a year. This is just one anonymous source from a team not at all involved in negotiations, so we're surprised the Times ran with it. The report certainly doesn't prove anyone with any reason to put much stock into it.
