Sad to say, the judges were all unanimous in scoring the punches that we saw. Yes, I am a proud Filipino, but I'm also a fair Filipino. And what I saw was PDL's power punches landing more than peñalosa. Get over it, maybe next time he will be more aggressive and knock out PDL in the first round.

totally agree with you on that one....you'd have to be blind not to score it for the filipino, crisper counters better feet and head movements....only thing de leon is working is the body shot and the ocassional jab

I was listening to a boxing show on radio about a week after the fight. Rich Marotta's NEUTRAL CORNER show. He couldn't believe that the fight was scored that way. btw Nice to hear from someone with an educated eye for boxing.

Come on guys, let us be fair. I'm Filipino pero sa tingin ko, "outboxed" si gerry sa laban na ito. PDL clearly won this match simply because gerry did not throw enough punches. Like they say, if you throw more, you will land more. Peñalosa has potential, he just needs to be aggressive.

de leon won by a large margin in the score cards, which is totally incorrect in my opinion. gerry fought like a true boxing scientist that he is. so i guess now it's "quantity" is more better than "quality" if that's the case gerry should have just punch and punch even if he's not hitting his target =P
