  • i just got a pair of the skele-toes amp shows, and i love them. comfortable, and they actually have some decent flex in the toes, but the ez slide pocket does feel alittle awkward, but nothing too distracting

  • Check out my skelitoes video Metal Session

  • nice review. I have a pair of Fila Skeletoes and love them. Don't have Vibrams to compare them to, but my son does. I do eventually want a pair of Vibrams but for now I am happy

with my Fila Skeletoes. When I am out walking my dog I do feel the bumps and ground feel

through the sole of my Skeletoes and walking in them is not as tiring as walking in

conventional shoes. I got some Injinji toe socks to wear with them.

  • can someone reply quickly cause i might buy these tommorow are they good for free running???

  • i just got the new ones for 50 i like them

  • the shoes are good... i have two sets of them. and to anyone asking if you can get them wet..... YES

  • I just got mine today at kohls there were 60$

But I got them for 20$

  • @mpb0401

do you wear socks with them?

  • @VioletSymphony Yes they make special socks for these type of shoes

  • @dparra87 Question to ask you. If I got the special socks for them, will they protect my heels? The back of the shoes rub against my heels which causes blisters and slight bleeding. I want to be sure if these socks will work before I decide to buy.

  • @GuyverFan95 yes they will i just noticed that today when i ran 8 miles i was bleeding from the back. But those socks will prevent that.

  • @dparra87 Thank you for the input. This will help me a great deal. I wear these shoes when I go to the gym. My feet felt fine at first when I wore then but then the pain, blisters and blood followed afterward.

  • can u get them wet

  • I don't like that because the last 2 toes are joined that you're pretty much inhibited in terms of movement, as in you can't splay/spread out your toes like you can in the vibrams. it kinda defeats the point of being toe shoes.

  • Comment removed

  • and sexy feet

  • sexy male

  • buy vibrams not this if you want the toe shoes. I support the vibrams all the way

  • how bright or dark is the red on the KSO?

  • Wha?!?!

God's shoes are finally on sale?

(it was a joke Fila, the Married with Children episode was funny because it would never happen for real...)

  • I also I got mines from kohls. 49.99. Can't wait to wear mine

  • I got mine for 49.99 at Kohls just sayin lol

  • how do you wash them?

  • Just bought a pair fila skeletoes because I was looking to replace my closed toe sandals which I usually wear for work and everyday use. The filas are very comfortable. Yes they are more rigid than the 5 toes shoe. But they are more for multi purpose foot conforming shoes. I'd say perfect for outdoor use. The soles are tough enough to stand on gravel or any other rough surface. Perfect for outdoor hikes, anything outdoors really.

  • i cant even stick my toes in those things...i tried on a size 9 today at academy and my toes wouldnt go in the slots... that made me mad

  • We run a mile every week in my ROTC class and I saw one of the upperclassmen wearing a pair of these and I was curious if they are comfortable.

  • how the hell do you wash them?

  • i saw rhe all gray ones and only one thing came too my mind.

    Crysis shoes!

  • @TheMhn5 saame

  • ill be running a 5k next month, would you recommend these shoes for running?

  • Are Skeletoes for Running ?

  • are they good for freerunning?

  • I've been wearing them for 5 days or so. They're very comfortable but the sole is already starting to separate from the shoe. :( Thought I'd let all you possible purchasers first.

  • @workit123456 This is because skeleshoes is currently mass producing the shoes due to the mass-marketing campaign. They are currently interested in getting quantity over quality. As much as I hate to attack other people's opinions, Five Fingers has already mastered quality with the seam-less komodo. I have been wearing them and running in them for over 6 months, (started a year ago with the KSO), and they look brand new, with a bit of discoloration from age.

  • weird im acutally buying these with my birthday money

  • Wow...I can see wearing those for light yard work.....or just casually during the warm months.....that's a good gift for my son.....Thanks for sharing your review.....

  • The truth is none if them are better than the other. The shoe all depends on you.

  • gay!

  • @acfinney1 please stop with the gay comments it only makes you sound let's just say "weird" and unintelligent ok

  • THEY LOOK GAY

  • ill stick with my vibrams.....

  • As a martial arts practitioner and massage therapost, I considered VFF first, but was forced to buy these on a fluke. Much to my surprise, a very good shoe. Gonna take one wearer's advice and wash them now and then as now Day 4, EWWWWWW!!!! Stinky feet! But oh well, some sort of perfection always comes at a cost, right? :) Great review and gonna buy some VFF's as well becauae I like the full flex feature of that shoe too, but to stand for an 8-hour day in the Skele-Toes is pure heaven and th

  • i jus don't like the way the toes r cut.. they kinda hurt my feet, and hard to put on but overall its a cool shoe n I have to say i do like em.....

  • Nice G-Shock watch Justin, and a good review.

  • I love my Skele-Toes. I've used them for walking on concrete surfaces, light jogging on grass, and tae-bo and they're great. I also prefer to wear a sock so I had to order the injinji socks with toes.

After about 5 months of heavy use there are some small tears in the fabric between the toes, something to consider.

  • My main issue with the Skele-Toes is that the material that makes up the upper does not breathe. After wearing them for a few hours, my feet will get sweaty and they become pretty uncomfortable. I have both Skele-Toes and VFF. I've been wearing them for about 4 months now and I really like both shoes, but for the extra money you spend on the VFF, you are getting a better quality shoe.

  • Just brought a pair yesterday dude I feel like a Ninja Awesome :)) LOL

  • @MrTRONSTAR This made me laugh :)

  • These look like an excellent lake/boating "shoe"

  • Mine came today, I do not like them they are too stiff and I can't stand my two smallest toes together. Cleaning them up and sending them back.

  • I have two questions for you. First, what watch are you wearing? Is that a G shock? What model? Second, are these skele toes from fila made for running on the side of the shore?

  • How do u clean these

  • Are they waterproof? Anyone?

  • just bought a pair of skeletoes, they are great, people were stopping me in line as I was going through the checkout, asking what the hell are those? They are great, feel great, and really offer alot of support.

  • @UTGguy88 your comment is all i really was looking to hear from this video

  • do vibram five fingers come in size 14? because I know the skele-toes do

  • Great review, thanks!

  • u just wish they would not have the easy slide, i got them and i like them, i like how they have more of a sole gonna be good for kayaking i belive

  • If you want a completely natural feel why not run without shoes???

  • @sepr8te1 I'm required to wear shoes for work. So, I'm going to get a pair of KSOs for the commute and the work shift.

  • @xaun36, your point? Everyone is entittled to their own opinion. I'm sure where I work I cannot wear anything like either of these shoes. It would hurt if you dropped something on your foot. I wear a steel toe shoe with a metatarsal plate. Maximum protection for my only two feet.

  • Actually, They are meant for whatever you want to do in them. You can run in them... I run 3 to 7 miles a day in mine. They take some getting used to. My calve muscles were not a fan at first but are stronger now. They do dry fairly quickly, especially if you leave them in the sun. They do make your feet sweat really bad which makes them smell bad after about the 4th time you wear them but you can wash them. I prefer a thicker sole because there is lots of gravel where I run...

  • I really like them;i recently moved to nyc...alot pf walking now-they grab ALL of the attention.

  • Justin, please improve your presentation. Count how many times you said uh or um in this short video. It makes you sound like you have no confidence and was annoying. More content, less filler. I wouldnt sit through another video.

  • @exitosa12 He's probably saying "uh," or "um" because he's collecting his thoughts. It's actually a pretty popular technique.

  • I actally use these shoes to run track and I like the soles to help me when im running. I run long distance 3-5 miles a day and there great for running

  • @fohalk54 Cool, I just got them.. and although they're not meant for running, I just bought them for that purpose. I didn't try them yet.. but it seems I can do it without fearing they won't work for running.. :)

  • i just orderd these and do they help you run in bare feet

  • could i use these for swimming

  • i actually bought the kid version cause i am a kid but i really like the skele-toes. I kinda like the sole. And at jcpenny they were on sale for only 40 dollars. The adult ones were only 50

  • I like these better than the Vibrams because of the four toe design. I tried on a pair of Vibrams and the first thing I said to the salesperson was my small toe just didn't fit comfortably and correctly. So I didn't buy them. I went to another sporting goods store, saw the Skeletoes, and tried them on. They felt perfect. Fila obviously knew of the issue with some Vibram users not liking the way the small toe fits in the shoe and made the correct decision to go with a 4 toe design.

  • These are SOOO much better than the Vibrams. Plus they are cheaper. You cant beat these with a ten foot pole.

  • it looks better than the vibrams five foes looks too weird with pants looks like water socks or something the fila's actually have style plus i have themj and there great

  • Which are better these or the brand by vibram?

  • do you think these would be good for kayaking?

like getting wet, drying fairly quickly?

  • @themegajosh09 these dry fairly quickly if in direct sunlight, usually in a couple hours if they were completely submerged.

  • im really interested in these shoes, i get athletes foot very easily cause my feet sweat more then normal. do these have good breathing? and are they possibly washable?

  • @pliskin679

I find my feet to sweat badly in them. They are not as breathable as I'd like.

  • @pliskin679 i also have fairly sweaty feet, although these are machine wash cold/ warm and dryer safe.

  • Question(s): Do you wear yours with socks or barefooted? I dislike wearing any type of footwear other then flip flops and sandals with no socks because the shoe will get that sweaty feet smell. 2nd, where do I buy toe socks for guys?

  • how much

  • @ronwds1 ~$60

  • For some reason people seem to think that a law suit would be imminent if they had five toes instead of four, but this is not the case. Do car makers get sued if they build a car with 4 wheels? C'mon people, a foot has five toes! Case dismissed.

  • I use these for rock climbing. thy are pretty good becaus of it's grip on slippery surfaces.

  • Are the FILA made in 1/2 or WIDE sizes? Thanks!

  • are they good for parkour?????

  • @lilrocker161 Yes

  • these shoes are pretty ninja, from lookin at vibrams these shows seem a little mor rudder which is good and bad, good as in I feel safer doing something's and bad as in there not the same feel as vibrams

  • Love how they avoided a death blow lawsuit by only doing 4 toes! Snub my toe my ass, these guys are copycats

  • Sole is too STIFF. It would be better with a rubber sole instead of the harder stuff on there now. Needs more flex.

  • I'm pretty sure Ryu Hayabusa wears these, also. I could be mistaken.

  • Order them at JCPenny, they are on sale for 47 dollars at the moment.

  • i like these better than vibrams easy to get on and my last two toes like the one pocket than the split pocket but they just feel great i love them

  • they r awsome behind the bar!

  • great video review!

  • Oh and about the price. I was bummed not to find a women's version, but at the store they claim some of the kid's sizes cross over. The price I paid was $39.99

  • @BugFolk I found the women's today at DSW. They are grey and purple and were $49.

  • I'd like to get the Vibrams, I can't find them locally. Being able to see shoes and try them on in a store is a must for me at their price point. I was excited to see the Fila version. I seriously need something to ease the pain of a developing bunion. So far it seems to be helping. The problem I have is where the EZ straps are located. They dig my heel. The four toe design doesn't bother me atm. I have deformed pinkies. I imagine the 5 toe design would be difficult to fit those toes.

  • Took someone long enough to compete with Vibrams. Not a bad first go actually, though I'll have to see them personally to be sure of that. They'd have to work hard to compete with my KSO's.

Alternatively though, any idea how they work as a water shoe?

  • how do you clean them? can you put them in a washing machine safely or do they have to be hand washed?

  • you can get them at dick's for $60.00

  • I saw a girl in these in the gym they look awesome, do you know if they can go in water?

  • Question- When running in the Fila Skeletoe, do you get a natural ball of the foot stride or a heel stride? thanks

  • I just tested these on a semi-cold weather hike, a little bit of snow, a bit of cold water and cold mud in western ma. They may not be the greatest for running, but as for hiking I think they work great, awesome traction in tough terrain and warm enough for colder weather. Great for the price and have many uses.

  • I have vibrams now. I tried these on , though they are half the price, they are half the effort as well.

  • 0:09 did you mean 5 toes?

  • @shweetify the name of the shoe company that makes the 5 toed shoes is called Vibram Five Fingers. My understanding of how the company got this name is that Vibram, being an Italian Company, attempted to translate "Five Toes" from Italian to English, but the Italian word for fingers and toes is the same word. So, they first chose the word fingers instead of toes, and by the time they realized, the name had already stuck.

  • @nbohli1 hahah that's nuts

  • I'm super loyal to Vibram. If someone is gonna make toe-shoes to rival the best, at least adhere to the whole minimalist push of more flexibility and ground feel! The thing I'm mad about is that people are gonna be stolen from Vibram for this all because FIla is bigger and has billboards every 10 feet. IMO, people need to try on Vibrams BEFORE the skeletoes, and then factor in the price issue. Vibrams just own on every level...

  • @DigiBentoBox i tried both, FILA actually fit my foot better and the sizes aren't as complicated. For me, I would have LOVED getting the Vibrams, but they just didn't fit my foot properly. FILA does have a bigger market and they are marketing to people with different types of feet where their shoe IS more practical. It is what it is.

  • do you think you could wash them to get them unstinkyfied

  • What's funny is how people state how the price is an issue yet they buy those nike shoes that look cool for a $100 plus.

  • Okay, i run barefoot ( I have been for years, it just feels natural to me), and even though my feet have grown very used to the ground and cement, naturally, I'd get splinters and what not. Would the vibrams skele-toes be a good alternative?

  • @hiddenThecakeisalie vibram and skeletoes are two different things vibrams i have heard (and from personal experience) are better for running and the like. i run in mine all the time. i tried on the fila and they are so much different for me. i use the vibram treksports for cross country and the bikilas for just relaxed running

  • I just tried these on in KOHLS, I was VERY disappointed in the ground(or lack of) feel.

The bottom of the sole was way to stiff! Not to mention, the inner sole has an arch and strange molded shape on the bottom of the foot. I just did not like them at all! I will stick with my Vibrams!

  • I just got a pair to run in. I just finished a 6 mile run and feel they're great if you're a runner who has hit a plateau and wants to improve your performance. I have a bad right knee and was nervous that the lack of shock absorption would hurt my knee, but i had the same about of knee trauma while running in these as with running in re-zigs or nikes.

  • Hhahah He looks like Moby

  • Thanks Justin. However, I think the lack of a fifth toe pocket is pretty lame. I bet Fila only did it because Vibram has some sort of five-toe patent. Also, the fact that it's not minimalist, and I won't feel the ground, it pretty lame. What's the point? I'll just go buy a pair or regular Filas! Do you have a Kimodo review yet? I'll check...

  • @SalvadorLosAngeles possible they did it to avoid IP issues (don't know), but there is actually a good reason to combine the littlest toes -- protection from breaking the pinky toe on a toe snag. Discussed more in the linked review (see the description in the video) ... working on the Komodo review!

  • @BirthdayShoesDotCom I'm guessing u shouldn't where socks with Skele-Toes but wouldn't they start 2 smell reeally bad reeally quick?

    Please answer

  • @BirthdayShoesDotCom would these work for kick boxing

  • @RedEyePergo you're not supposed to wear shoes on the mat bro

  • @RedEyePergo I use them precisely for martial arts ( I hate running ) and for me, they work out much better than Virbam five Fingers. There is more cushioning under the ball of the foot ( crucial for kicks ) and the insole is build / sewn in. With my ( previous ) Vibram Komodosport, the removable insoles slipped and slid while I was kicking.

  • @SalvadorLosAngeles These shoes are so comfy! We tried them on today (my child and I). I worry about getting a pair of something like Vibrams and then stepping on a rock or a piece of glass or something. My son (who is 8 years old) found them comfortable, but yeah, it was hard getting his toes into the toe pockets as he has long skinny toes. It didn't make a difference comfort-wise with not having the fifth toe pocket. We may buy a pair of these for each of us.

  • @CheekyThrill please let me know what's it's like after about 6 months and various activities. i'm so in love with my vibrams i am now actually wearing them when i wear a suit and tie!

  • @birthdayshoesdotcom thanks for the review. I was thinking about picking up a pair when I saw it, glad to hear they are good quality. Why do people wear toe shoes though? As in what advantage does it give compared to traditional shoes? Also does one wear toe socks with them?

  • This was a great review. If i could make one addition, these shoes are great for people switching between conventional shoes to full-on Vibrams. I use them when I free-run and they hold up a bit better, and the added sole thickness is much appreciated when i fall hard.

  • @Minecraftinator

I completely agree I want five fingers but im going to buy the filas first to see if I enjoy it enough to put the money up for vibram

  • @Minecraftinator

So are they definitely worth it to get them for parkour? And if not, are there any shoes you recommend for parkour?

  • Good review Thanks

  • Finally! A new video! Thanks for making a vid for these, you get so much more in motion then you can in a photo...
