Air fences are the biggest improvement in speedway period. RIP Kenny, speedway is the safest its ever been, i remember Hackney the usa riders hated the place after Denny died, remember Shooey saying it wasnt the track that was crap but the soddin fence!!

Olsson was a great servant to speedway. It looks inocuious, but thats the sad thing it didn't look too bad but we lost Kenny. This is a reason why air fences must be compulsary dont let kenny die in vain. air fences in his memory, his legacy. RIP Kenny.

No, in Sweden we don't put people in jail for accidents if nobody has done anything wrong and this was just a very unfortunate accident. The other driver was of course devastated and blamed himself though, as anyone would've. The only crime was the inferior safety. There had been many serious accidents in a short period of time so there was a debate about how the satefy had to be improved. But that didn't help much once this happened. Somebody had to die before they actually acted on it.

I think it was less than two weeks before this that a 17 year-old speedway driver got paralyzed from the waist down in another accident here in Sweden. There were lots of talks about speedway being too dangerous and that it wouldn't be too hard to make it more safe back then. And then this happened. Unfortunately a fatality was necessary for changes to be made because now they've finally realised that it's not just question about money.
