I know a few dharma practitioners including myself that have endured homelessness. Others have started support groups for homeless ppl too. But i find it very scary and sad that ppl interested in spiritual practice have to endure starvation and isolation.

That's not what the Buddha said. He himself practised ascetism and discovered it was not the way to enlightenment.
