Hasegawa is the best in Japan. He has power in both hands. If he can use his height and reach advantage properly, he can be a long time champ. That needs some additional training to incorporate the H & R advantage with his skill in throwing 4 to 6 punch combination. Use some counterpunches to deter the opponent from further agressiveness. He sure is the only fighter in J to have excite the interest of boxing fans. Congrats to Hozume for winning this fight and many more. Bravo to a J boxer.

Professional boxing is a business. It's really difficult for the Japanese boxers to enter the US market say for example. Many Japanese boxers wish to be recognised in the international market, especially the US, but things aren't that easy. Who in the US would pay attention to a "world champ" from a far east unknown country? Who would buy a ticket?

Theres DOZENS of professional boxing champions from the LW divisions of eastern countries - they dont get their matches picked as smart. If the US had anything better to offer at those weights they wouldnt continually lose in the Olympics.

Look carefully rounds 6-7 of Veerapon Vs Hesegawa fight II, he hardly breathed in and kept his bad conditions. Don't forget to bring him fight outside Japan. A few victorious will ensure him a great fighter of Bamtamweight. Veerapol fougth six times outside Thailand, Nana Cornadu five times in the US, Korea and Thailand.

How about Hasegawa eigth times defend his belt has bben held in Japan.

Hasegawa is fast and footwork but his body is fragile. He cann't be a great champion as long as he foght only in the island of Japan. At least he has to prove hinself to go out and defeat a few challengers outside Japan.
