But not all movies have antagonists (like American Pie or Sixth Sense or Day after Tomorrow), and I believe that movies must offer good and fair conclusions (either sad or happy) (even the french movies), or it would make a movie dumb.

There are movies like Les Visiteurs and Les Anges Gardiens who offer good conclusions.
I suppose you are right.. but my point is.... american movies are often predictible... And we are used to that... In an american Movie Fantomas would have definitely been caught on the third and final part.. and everyone would have expected it..
"Good guy winning over bad guy" is common everywhere, but there are movies like the ones I mentionned with no antagonist, these are not predictable, we never knew how would be the result and the end.
my god, american pie was awful, please don't mention this type of boring crap in front of a masterpiece with such actors like Louis de funes, he was the TRUE comedian of all times, I loved this guy since I was a kid, and he still makes me laugh.
I adore Louis de Funes, he's a legend of the comedy for me, he had the face the voice and language of the history of comedy, and I have many DVDs of his movies such as Les Gendarmes.
So you don't have to hate American Pie just to praise Louis de Funes, I love them both (and others of course).
i wasn't hating on american pie just to praise on Louis de Funes movies...i saw american pie, and they do stupid things to make people laugh...which only works on a handful of people. Cool movie. Never saw it without translation. And still think that "Souzmultfilm" did the best translation :) This reminds me when I was five. I was a really big fan of "Fantomas" in that age. When I was 7 I even made small rocket car from wood :)
Especially I like the moment when he says that he wanted to use one brain, but two brains is much better :) And when I was child I newer believed that it's only two three series of "Fantomas" :'(
I gotta say I am surprised at how well liked he is outside of France. I am from France and have been watching him for years now but I never thought he was popular abroad.
Anyway, I was really scared of Fantomas when I was a kid. Watching it now and thinking about how I used to be scared is quite funny!
Louis De Funès was very much loved in former Soviet Union. When I was very young and Fantomas was shown in my town, there were huge line to get tickets. He was very much loved before and I can bet he still very much loved in all post-soviet countries.

I used to watch this film when I was a kid. I admire Louis de Funes, he s a great actor and comedian. Last thing, I remember I was very afraid of Fantomas because of his appearance. Don't you also think that he looks horrifying :)) LoL

Fantomas is one hell of a sinister and good character. I was scared myself when I watched when I was a kid too :)

Fantomas was my very first superhero/villain as a child living in Italy. I loved it's trilogies then and love it now!

No need for you to say this. But anyway it's "vive"...
Louis de Funès is really missed indeed.
