I think this is a terrible commercial and I'm saddened that Ellen would choose to say this. Yes I understand it's supposed to be a "read between the lines" type thing; unfortunately many young people won't get the joke and they'll think she is being serious.

Teenagers aged 15+ if your lucky can possibly pick up on the sarcasm, but if you showed this video to someone 10 or younger, most of them probably wouldn't know that Ellen is a comedian and that she was joking about. Truthfully, some older people too probably didn't pick up on the sarcasm, there are better ways to advertise a product than joke about something young people deal with.
