  • Dear PRE10der76: What an excellent video you have recovered and posted for our beloved Dan Fogelberg! I loved to hear Dan talk at concerts and play his instrumentals! Peace and Love, BobbyK

  • Very cool , sweat interpretation... if you like this check out some covers from

Jeff Beck. Both this artist are masters at there art.

  • It is nice to see that he didn't leave his audience short on entertainment for that concert. Who ever heard an acoustic guitar sound that sweet,it sounds like a Gibson 335 type.

  • Interestingly I recall Stanley Jordan recording this for his debut album. He uses a two-handed tapping method, but amazingly similar. Perhaps the song lends into to interpretation, but... Both great musicians in their respective rights.

  • wow, he was no slouch on the guitar was he? Magnificent, oh and by the way on behalf of the nation I apologize for boairdgas88? This country is full of idiots like him.

  • so amazing

  • reminds me of the south korean kid shunga huang er whatever his name is. he playes the song and the lyrics through his notes, so awesome/inspiring

  • really whats your prob man, its music enjoyy it and leave your youtube angry comments to other, crappy , videos. chill out, smoke, and listen to the sounds you. and that korean kid is great. much better than you'll ever be. way to be offended by a positive comment.

  • I saw him once--at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1977. Unbelievable performance, not sure I appreciated how good he was back then.

  • At the beginning when he talks about his falsetto not being there, Dan says "there's a Spaniard in the works". This is a reference to John Lennon's 1965 book of nonsense stories; the title is a pun on the British slang "there's a spanner in the works" meaning things are fouled up somehow.

  • What an all around talent: singer, writer, fingerstyle, lead guitar, piano. America's Clapton.

  • Thank you so much for this. This is like finding treasure. I remember seeing him solo acoustic in 82 for the first time and many times since. He was simply the best.

  • Fantastic

  • Unbelieveable... love seeing him play up close like that - thank you so much. Saw Dan in an acoustic concert in the late 70's... have never forgotten it...these videos are such a treat...

  • Wow dude! Thank you so much for getting this posted!! (sigh) I never got a chance to see Dan the Man perform live... these are absolutely priceless to me... thanks again!!

  • Fantastic! He was SO underappreciated as a guitar player despite being one of the finest!!

  • So excellent. I loved it when I was able to get close seats for his shows and watch him play. He was such an accomplished musician.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!
