Went on this yesterday. Pedalos banging into glass bottom boats, snorkelers getting in the way, this big red ship heaving out fumes when the turtle was coming up for air, I think you had a much better trip than we did, I would not recommend doing this in the high-seasion, like July / August..
It gets overbooked + when it was our turn to go under, there was no room, so eventually we convinced the driver to let us have 6/7 mins to ourselves, I heard other angry people aboard, I like this vid tho!
Sorry you had a bad experience on this trip, we must have chosen a good time and it was probably not as busy in June. We went down for 30 minutes with the other 30 minutes on deck. Shame you didnt get the full benefit of the trip.
