  • Beaut trains. Quite Jealous from London.

  • This is surreal. Speed of 100m/s, peak power 25MW, or 33 525hp - per train! There's simply no was to achieve this with diesel trains, and kudos to France for investing in nuclear power, and of course in THIS!

  • Oh the fantastic things you can build in a socialist society. What do we have in America? Oh, right.. SUVs and a whole lotta fat-ass attitude, not to mention the idiotic, inane "tea party." Nice.

  • @JET997u lol :P

  • @JET997u Yes. When the French want to do something, they can get things done. They're still expanding their high speed tracks and in the cities they're expanding their tram systems.

  • @JET997u Well, you have postal service, right? ;-) No but seriously, such things are the best example of why there's a limit to liberalism.

  • French engineering is one of world's top. Trains, Cars, Buildings, Space, Nuclear...

  • @LifeforArt ahem, French cars aren't necessarily the top class (but their diesel engines are one of the best, the Japanese buy them for their cars)

  • I like the camer position you used at 0:16.

  • @Lackawanna952 Yahy ! this shot was the hell at made ! :P

  • That makes our train here in Quebec look like Fisher price toys...lol

  • @stevezane lmao

  • ????????

  • You don't want to be fukn around on them tracks.

  • bellissime immagini! :)

  • @begattino grazie :)

  • It is not noisy like the sheiken or the ice!

  • Too fast

  • I want to ride this. European Shinkansen.

  • So this is the Safest train in the world ?

  • @12moshpit I don't know, certainly ONE of many safest high speed trains.

  • @dashloc I been in a Euro star 2 Months ago and it has air bags in front of the seats so i guess both of them should be very similar

  • @12moshpit

The ICE3 Is the Safest one, because it could go to 500 Km/h But its limited to 300,thats why the ICE3 is the safest..! the Technology is like the same..

  • @Backripinferna There is one IMPORTANT thing you forgot to mention. The TGV is much less likely to go off the rail than the ICE thanks to its set of wheels which are between two cars. TGV is much more rigid and yet comfortable with the many hydraulic jacks on each sides of the wheel set.

  • @12moshpit all i know is, it's safer than driving 180mph on the highway.

  • @12moshpit Like I said 2 months ago, the set of wheels between two cars is the secret.

  • @12moshpit Yes, in every crash that involved a TGV, 2 or 3, I think, the train never fell on its side.

  • @cayoharksen Obrigado, sim eu concordo, prefiro vídeos NATURE :)

  • Where there are either French wine, women, or TGVs, I must learn to control myself! I want to thank you for responding to me in English (I know little French) and I hope to see more videos like yours --but please do not risk your life for your art! Next, you mentioned problems with the freight trains. What problems are these? Lastly, may I refer you to an awesome American freight video entitled "The Cascade Tunnel." Here, no TGV speed, but instead, immense power. Enjoy.

  • @subocincy You welcome, No problems i don't risk my life along the track, i always wear a safety jacket. About the freight, i talk about the freight trains of the historic and national operator working in France, the SNCF, trucks and privates railways operator had killed the traffic of the SNCf freight trains ! That's why ! Yeah immense power, like thos crazy Z trains ?! :P

  • Any nation that claims Carla Bruni as its 1st Lady does not need to worry about its freight trains, heh heh -- she is A QUEEN! Please realize that, as a young American GI in Germany, I fell in love with the young Francoise Hardy -- and today I lust over Lara Fabian, Juliette Binoche, and Emmanuelle Beart. THEN I have to watch your videos of the TGVs -- how unfair!

  • @subocincy Yes why not ?! * snicker * :P

  • Awesome videos of amazing French trains -- you should be very proud of your rail system. A super accomplishment for your nation!

  • @subocincy Thank you, yes, even if we could be proud of our freight trains system here too, that could be nice !

  • Absolutely Awesome

  • @ocossa thank you :)

  • Must confess of being rather jealous of French trains.. and the Louvre

  • @Badsellcut Yeah, i can understand, but nobodyes wants our president ! ...or just is wife... :P

  • fav noise is when the couplings go past

  • @tLlXenonFire Yeah i agree ! :P

  • massive thats awesome

  • @Haalalouiya1 Thanks :)

  • SPEED!!!!

  • i like train

  • cool

  • The TGV is one cool ass train.

  • France, Spain, Germany etc etc.........they all have TGVs. From Seattle to San Diego "TGV" is still a forlorn, pipe dream.

  • @plasmatv No, they don't. The TGV is from France, Spain has the AVE, Germany has the ICE, and Japan has the Shinkansen.

  • @plasmatv You Mean the amtrak

  • Hello... Goodbye...

  • freaking awesome!!

  • @bongo4unme thank you :)

  • lol my grand mother can walk faster!!!

  • where was that vid taken?

  • @DN797 North of the city of Lyon, here : 45°56'44.81"N 4°51'59.00"E

  • French TGV !!

  • I just love 0:24

  • So cool! That IS good music!

  • @janernn , yup ! thank you :)

  • soo fucking cool

  • @The7ip3r , Thanks :)

  • Now THAT'S real railroading!

  • Cool video.

  • Thanks CoasterCloud :)

  • woooah, how many miles an hour is that going?

  • 186 mph speed limit here STEFXXCOKE

  • Excellent

  • Thanks Grandprixfanatic :)

  • 0:15

  • no fense or walls for animal protection? what if some cows on the rail and hit?

  • ?! There a fence (all the way) Tokyocityrat, You can see this one at the first shot.

  • Sorry, stating 0:22, I have to see it on left side.

  • cows on the rails? are you from the amercian plains or so? :p (i know you're not)

the only thing that could run over the rails there is a rabbit or so...

  • You can also say, boar, dog, deer, a lot of birds ... :P

  • wow a french who speaks english? very rare!

  • You mean "who TRY to speak English " lol :D

  • "tryes" is right

  • @SFFjanni1308 All French speak English, they just pretend like they don't so they don't have to talk to douche-y Americans.

  • @greg5566

I'm from Belgium, Flemisch, I visit France at least once a year, they really have a hard time on English...., Even Wallons (French part of Belgium) score very low on English

  • haha, all I know is if I ever start a conversation with "parlez-vous anglais?" they reply non. But if I start by trying to speak to them in French, they learn English real quick--anything to prevent me from butchering their French!

  • Since you're from Belgium I have to share this with you, one of my favorite sketches from Monty Python: v=knwwgZNeIpA

"Let's not call them anything, let's just ignore them."

And, "I can't think of anything more derogatory than 'Belgian.'" hahaha

I hope your English is good enough to appreciate this, but anyway it's all in good fun. :)

  • I know this sketch :) , well every nation has its shame... We can't help it that we're small...and believe me, lots Belgians hate our politics like hell...

  • as a belgian i'm almost hoping som1 laughs with us because we are non-existan lolt!! usually everyone laughs with the germans, dutch or french but never with us!!

  • wow that is awesome...how fast? and was that two of those high speeders coupled up?how many volts in those wires? how many amps?

  • definitely was a couple together in that footage yeahh lol (:

  • Many questions lol, ok, About the maximum speed in the lines, 300kmh/183mph, 25000volt in the wire, about the amps i don't know, of course TGV are coupled together for trnasporting more peoples in one trains no more than two set of TGV for a consist.

  • thanks that is very interesting.......several American Railroads did not use their dynamic brakes because it puts lots of wear on them....they used of course, their air brakes.....

  • Your welcome Rongenman, ah ? really i didn't know!

  • i laugh a lot when i read some chauvinistpeople like japanese here : my train is better blablabla ...

you have not fright at being taken for people ridiculous who have only this has make: try to display an useless pride ... it is by jingoism that nationalism feeds, alas they saw or it leads the people: war, racism !

TGV was conceived to transport people in security, comfort, accessible price, reasonably of pollution not to compare people !

  • You should rather think has the negative picture which you issue of your nation must want absolutely to see you the upper by a technical realization has the range for a lot of countries now ...

is just a train lol ... no shuttle space, a tool of public utility to reduce distance between people, not to move them away by a naïve ideology to think that this or that populates made better than the others !

  • I think Alpacks, escaping from the contest who is pissing farther is a utopia, trains like other machines don't escape at this rules ! :P

  • wow,fast indeed

  • year ya right i must be a geek like u lot. the clip i was watching was Extreme Trainsurfer

    ... geek

  • By mistake? Yeah right - you must have been searching pretty specifically to 'accidentally' come across this. 'TGV airflows, dynamic and air brakes sound.' is not something to just stumble across unless you're looking for this sort of thing.

  • perfect sounds for sampling =D

  • For sure lol :)

  • i just fell in love with the sound :D

  • Those TGV Duplexes are really sharp-looking trains!

  • zagyex:

La voix du rail à grande vitesse ;)

  • In comparision to ICE3, TGV is ulgy but...FAAAAST:)

  • Hmmm... Not that ugly... At least the Duplex doesn't. But, yes, the ICE does look better... =)

  • You're COMPLETELY WRONG on that; they can be weird-looking trains, but the Shinkansen can travel much faster (in normal cruise speed) than any other train on Earth. And "why?", you're asking. Simply because they have the SAFEST trains, too! With hi-tech security devices! So, please, get correct informations first before you start speaking without knowing exactly what you say. Something they're AREN'T is "retarded"!

  • The voice of high speed rail ;)

  • "Took on the first high speed line builted"... well done...

  • Give him a break, you prick. He is obviously French and English is not his first language... tool.

  • Lol !

  • "you prick"? ok.... i'lll go gentle with you, since you probably never insulted a person before. ^^

english is not my motherlanguage eather.

  • "eather"...well done

  • Thanks ChronicDementia

  • better. insulting me for my language is much better, but still.... i dont feal anything.

  • ok, now say that in french then : )

  • super speed

  • 0:12 - 0:21 FOR-MI-DABLE!

  • lol :P

  • does anybody know the highspeed of this train and its a great vid 5*

  • thank you Endw1234, the speed is around 270 kmh and 300kmh.

  • the speed record for a tgv is 574,8 km/h. you can see video clips of that on youtube.

  • very very good video, 5*

  • Grazie 14luca95

  • It's always more terrific in true Kiwibrittie !

  • Yes Imcfalcon12, but that's change a bit whit the wind direction, and climate environement.

  • Great video 5*!

  • Thanks scott5175 :)

  • yeah we already know. I don't think it's necessary for you to post the exact same comment on every bullet train video on youtube. Like I said, we already know.

  • >>bestamerica

Hey, if you want to sound educated about your analysis, you should first clean up your grammar. Fuck, just post in your native language so no one will hear you sound stupid. Second, you should know that the TGV has been running for over 20 years, and NO ONE has ever died on a TGV, EVER. High speed trains are statistically safer than airplanes and magnitudes safer than automobiles. So I suggest you keep your baseless fear-mongering to yourself.

    Someone please translate for him...

  • Cool! Can't imagine how crazy it would be to stand close to a train doing those speeds.

  • Loud noise and ram wind Callum122 !

  • what exactly is meant by aerodynamical noise?

  • The lound airflows noise at high speed !

    emachines34.

  • @dashloc: I especially like the 'woosh' sounds when the pantograph passes.

  • Yeap Me too Weeardguy :P

  • Douce mélodie :)

  • Yup ! ;P

  • Ha! Maybe... I saw that you are a "pro" of train then I believe you ;) It's TGV :P lol

  • This is zeu youreupoean comunoti !

  • The normal speed it's 330k/h - 205mph ut the record is 574.8k/h - 357.16mph. But at Quimper (north - west) to Nice (south - est) 7h. There are again some work but it's good :)

  • Euh...not exactly, the best speed here is on the LGV est and a part of the LGV MED, it's 200mph/320kmh.

A high speed line in the south of France, in way to Nice is actually in project !

  • that is awesome!

  • Thanks Cheeseball3333 :)

  • The TGV Duplex is a cool looking train.

The sound that occurs because of the space between cars is the coolest.

  • Yeap sure Jamesbondsv :)

  • Just wondering: From Paris does TGV go to Marseille? Normandy?

  • Yes, the train go to Marseille from Paris

(3h05 minutes) and he go to Lille too, Renne, Le Havre ...

  • I'm lovin' it! Vive TGV!

  • Thanks you WNM52 :P

  • dashloc, De rien, mon ami. Pas de quoi.

  • Awesome video! I love the sound of the constant 'swhoosh' as the train quickly travels by. To see it race through the countryside must be quite a sight! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Your welcome Musthavejava, yes, it's exciting to see the TGV racing the track throught the countryside :P

  • aerodynamical isn't a word mate

  • Yeap i know ! :P

  • The guy is French and his first language is French not English.. Give him a break...Good Vid, Merci

  • Your welcome EI747SYDNEY couldn't say better than that ! :P merci

  • It's wonderful!!

    TGV has improved the performance.

  • shinkansen no.1

  • It's even more fun when you're on one and you pass another at full speed

  • Yeap sure because...you get a cab ride Nevgar ! :P

  • Every time I see machines like this I think how incredible the power of the human mind is... imagine if we all focused that energy on bettering our lives as a global community!
