You need to come to your senses and realize that Nato is not some world police, and if you honestly think that you're a lost cause. Nobody but a few journalists cared about the brutal rule by the Taleban in Afghanistan in the 90's. Then when 9/11 happened Afghanistan and defeating the Taleban became a huge priority. And that's a "Leningrad" situation. They had a 1000 day siege but survived. Stalingrad was successfully taken save for a few small pockets of fierce resistance. Also Stalingrad was leveled to the ground and 1,9 million casaulties on both sides. You compare that to 16,000 dead in the Siege of Sarajevo? You're insane. Besides, the UN flew in food and aid to the people all the time so starvation was no major issue.

How could Clinton convince the American people it was worth going into a costly war nobody understood what the hell it was all about? They didn't go to war with Germany, it was Austria-Hungary. Germany on the other hand were the ones mostly responsible for escalating the conflict. If you have read the German historian Fritz Fischer, then you'll know Germany planned for a war with France and Russia several years before 1914. Ever heard of Von Schlieffen and his attack plan on France? Von Moltke altered it and lost the war.

Pol Pot killed around 2,5 million people.

Idi Amin exterminated around 400,000 in Uganda, and expulsion of 60,000 Asians.

In the Bangladesh war of 1971, some 1-3 millions civilians were killed by the Pakistani army.

And there are lots of other lesser known conflicts in which ethnic groups were targeted. In the light of that 10,000 dead Bosnians seems like nothing.
