That was a great ending to this series. I think the improved designs for the characters was a great thing for the end of the series. Among the romance animes that I have seen, this one is probably the best. I hope more people get a chance to see this. Thank you for posting this movie.

personnally i prefer the Anime than the movie. which is more serious and less funny. thanks for posting i saw it on french tv when i was 10 y.o and forgot all the story. i saw all of them now and think it s one of the best japanese anime of all time. not like actual one. the lone bad point is that we dont know anything about hikaru s life from the 1st movie nor what s happened with Yusaku or Kyosuke father.

Man.. the end of this movie always gets me crying... T_T I watched this show from the beginning and followed it for years.. I grew up with this characters and they become your best friends and when you have to say goodbye it hurts. And it doesn't help that the song used in the last sequence here accents the closing so well! T_T

this film is based on the first novel ok Kimagure "summer beginning", and yes, the storyline is the same but in the novel there are more details and situations than in the film, for example the kyosuke dream is so longest than that on the movie..

I agree, Kazuya wouldn't fit here, despite how awesome he is. His and Kousuke's crazy comedic antics just wouldn't fit in this drama oriented movie. I would at least like to know what happened to Yusaku though, poor guy.

I love the fact that "Kyousuke Number 1" is the song she was playing on the saxophone in the very first episode of the anime.

I liked how it sounded on the sax.

My only problem with this movie is that it's in a different art style from the anime/OVA/first movie. I liked that style better, since I like the style from the time frame.

I feel young compared to all the other commenters. I'm only 17. But I got into the series when I was 10, and that counts for something.

In the first anime's episode the sax theme wasnt kyosuke number 1 but Janina, the soundtrack of anime have different composer (Shirō Sagisu for anime and Yuki Kajiura for this movie)

i really hate that they are missing a major person in this and it is yusaku the guy who is in love with hikaru and knows karate....im disappointed that are also missing kazuya and his dad too but overall it was alright but missing many things...

At some point in this movie, i think that hikaru says something about yuusuke. Something like she made things clear with the guys who was always following her. Well, i guess she was talking about yuusaku.

Coincido... Pero para ser justos, esto es la pelicula... Cierto, no es una pelicula a parte como la mayoria de animes, pero es una pelicula, a fin de cuentas. La serie no acabó tan bien... y con los OVA lo arruinaron.
