  • At this time, GL was the best show on all of television. That is not a joke or a lie. Day in, day out, it had the most riveting stories from the best writers and some of the finest actors to be found anywhere.

But then...something happened. It went haywire, and I couldn't watch. I always blame it on Lucy. She was such an annoying twit that I couldn't watch anymore.

  • @jiveturkey25 Holly and Ed slept together once right after she returned to Springfield in the late 1980s.

  • When did Holly and Ed slept together when he was still married to Maureen?

  • @jiveturkey25 I don't think Holly & Ed were together when he was married to Maureen. However, Holly did cheat on Ed with Roger Thorpe who at the time was married to Peggy Fletcher which resulted in Blake's Birth. However, they always had a very strong bond and Holly was in many ways a "Surrogate Mother" to Michelle when she was growing up. If you type in Guiding Light Holly/Michelle "Milestone" you'll see what I mean.

  • I don't know how Ed could have cheated on Maureen. This is one of the reasons I stop watching the show off and on. I expected more out of Ed. Holly (Maureen Garrett) always knows the right thing to do and say.

  • Great scene! While many viewers hated that Maureen died, the stories that came out of it were wonderful.

  • The acting rivals anything on nighttime!

  • powerful.

  • One of GL's finest hours. Acting at its best!!
