Signs of being pregnant:

1: when finished having woohoo, you will here an almost lullaby at the end, meaning the female is preggers.

2: A bump will start to appear, and your sims will eat, sleep, and go poddy a lot more.

3: Your sim will start to waddle with a giant baby bump, and eventually will go into labor.

4: You will give birth and then name your child(s).

You can only have a child when the game wants you to. If you love your partner enough, like 100 relationship points and are married then their should be a message saying "do you want to have a child?" There is no actual pregnancy though

It doesn't ask that question on my sims. All it does is play the music when she is Pregnut and then she starts to get bigger and bigger and finally she has her kid. =3
