I just bought a Z1285 yesterday. I'm mostly satisfied with it but it has extremely short battery life. I put two brand new AA's in it and the battery meter said they were dead after 15 minutes. Does yours have a short battery life too? Thanks for your help
when viewing a video on this camera do u have to plug it into your computer in order to hear the sound on the video or can u hear it right on the camera??
how big is ur memory card gonna be when u buy it, because i was wondering how much space it takes for an hd video on a memory card. I was thinking of buying a 1 gig card for the same camera. Is that too small?
I have a 2GB one; if you make a lot of videos 2GB is the bare minimum. If you're just going to use it for portraits and beach pictures and stuff, it's okay.
For video, there is no stabilization so you have to put it on a flat surface, monopod, or tripod. They're cheap, so that's not much of a concern for me.
You can turn on "digital image stabilization" for images, however.
It does have HD, but it doesn't allow HD recording to the internal memory because you would only get 1 or 2 seconds of recording anyway. HD files are so big!
How much HD video will it hold on a 4GB SanDisk card? And how do you get it to HD mode?

The video is HD but the excessive shaking is intolerable. Do you know how to stabilize the video?

so ummmm for the kodak Z-1285 u have to have a memory card to shoot video in HD?? I thought It already had HD in it.
