Ive had people say that FF7 was overrated and that others were better... is it true? Havent played the others but that still sounds like BS. Granted Cloud does have this emo tendency that I quite dislike now that ive gone back and sort of replayed a few parts. Say, Ive only beat it once, is it worth it for me to beat it on 100%? I never got any of the unique characters or defeated unique bosses.

To each their own, either way, 7 is a "great". Replay 7, get 100%. You won't regret it. Dig deep into FF 7's story, talk to everyone. Every character has story that is totally worth discovering. When you are done playing 7, watch the movie. Play Crisis Core. Play Dirge of Cerberus. You won't regret any of it.

@DGrant1010 Youve convinced me sir. FF7 replay CHECK. Crisis Core CHECK. Dirge of Cerberus though is for PS2, which is a problem. I have a PS2, but then I gotta plug it in a play it on a crappy TV. Yeah the graphics suck anyways but I hate getting used to that whole blurry low resolution. Oh well. In any case, Squarsoft needs to stop with their crap spree. The dialogue in the new FFs arent just mistranslated, they would be cheesy and nonsensical even if they were translated correctly.

No kiddin'. Cid is such a great character... not just in battle, but story wise as well. He has more depth than meets the eye, and despite his asshole-ish behavior, it turns out he's a good man. He cares about people more than he'd like to admit.

He's a man that had noble goals, who held onto his dreams for a long time, and when it came time to make them come true, he sacrificed it all to save the woman he eventually married.
