I liked her attempt at this but honestly she rushed it too much. Tracy Chapman uses much more raw emotion and grace when she performs behind the wall.

Also didn't like the constant yelling in the background. I get that it was live but if you've ever actually heard the song or read the lyrics, you'll see how poetic 'behind the wall' truly is. Just seemed a bit rude to have such a vocal crowd on a song with so much emotional energy.

Jewel has a beautiful voice and does a good job covering this song, but I'm actually pretty offended by the photo montage the user chose to accompany this song..

This song is about violence against women, and yet all the photos of Jewel here are of her in sexy poses with low cut tops... objectifying women while decrying violence against them...

Tracy Chapman has been in the music industry for years. She is one of the best African American singer/songwriters in our country. Ms. Chapman is the one who wrote, produced and preformed Behind The Wall (Last Night). They actually have her music vid on youtube, all you have to do is search for it.
