For those interested: Forgotten hope is now up to version 2.4 and is available for free download. You can't post links for some reason but just Google Forgotten Hope.

You need a fully patched-up version of Battlefield 2, it's a mod for that game.

It's a "realism" mod, which has removed most of the arcade elements of Battlefield and put in realistic uniforms, vehicles, and the like. I played if tor years.

@paulproductions2010 i think there still some ppl playing it (like AIX , or PR) and yes you can play the normal BF2, just press the bf2 shortcuts instead of FH2 one. im redownloading it so maybe ill see ya on the battlefield !

@paulproductions2010 you downloaded the 2 installers ? its supposed to be an .exe file... simple to run double click on it ant it opens the installer. After installing these. right click on the FH2 shortcut and "run as admin"

@Davmm96 well i downloaded one from the 1 out of 2 and one from 2 out of 2 from filefront off the forgotten hope 2 website, and no there not .exe and the icons a internet icon. "If you are new to FH2 or if you have a version older than 2.26 installed, download the FH2.3 Full Installer" no idea where the ful is.

THIS IS EPIC! I love the drama they put this mod into. This is like the best BF 2 mod I ever seen! Dice could have at least made Battlefield 1942 like this before if they just tried. I also love the way that you almost got shot or was near a grenade and the screen went in a blur. THAT IS PURE CALL OF DUTY ACTION! Say thank you to the mod developers for me.

Its not like BF2 its like BF1942 and using same engine. It supposed to be fun but its not. In multiplayer its not that dynamic as we see here: its slow, tanks, airplanes are dominated. If you wanna just lay down somewhere and snipe its not gonna happen coz of the same tanks/airplanes. Guys who keep they servers will allways beat you using those tanks&planes. PB doesnt work in this game. Maybe its my negative experience. Ive played couple months on different servers then quit and erased the game.

It's slightly fun, but I hate how they went out of the way to make it as realistic as they possibly could. I hate it when mod creators decide that realism is more important than fun (this mod is an extreme example of that).

@MAMMOUT333 Yes it does but they recommend if you can't play the original on medium you shouldn't get this mod, the specs are a tiny bit higher then the original bf2, the problem for most "old" pc's is the very far view distance and playing with that on low is...stupid :)

Hmm... I picked up BF2 on steam plus expansions... I will definately download this and play. However I will note that the game play looks a lot like Red Orchestra:Ostfront. Free-aim, no crosshair, suppression, blurred vision... I was hoping to see more vehicles to play with in this video. Between this and Red Orchestra - this has more vehicles that everyone should be able to use.
