that's the reason HE gave. You can EASILY get that sort of record in boxing, just fight the journeymen who are given 6 days notice, a few older fighters looking for a £1000 for a night's work, force less sucessful boxers up a division to get a pay day etc.
He wasn;t good enough to make a successful career so he left. After getting pounded by a 34 year old nobody.

Because its viewed as more entertaining and more of a complete sport, plus everyone knows now that mma guys are better fighters than boxers, pbf can win a fight when hes wearing heavily padded gloves and cant be kicked or taken down, In mma he wouldnt make it out of the first round. Even low level mma fighters would wreck him.
