  • ninguno! jajajaaj

  • @TequeDiogo it is good to do chords on high gain amps, as it gives u a clear look at how much clarity the amp can get, when u hit more than one sting on high gain amps, they can sometimes get muddy, and that is not what u want

  • does anyone know if ruby 6l6 tubes are any good ?? plz reply

  • if you want to make a clone of an amp make it 100% not less , and bugera cant make it a 100% of the marshall thats so lame , but recently they have the new 1990 INFINIUM , which would be interesting if you make a video on this amp with mixed other kinds of tubes together then would be interesting how it would sound

  • WHEAT THINS

  • marshall wins...

  • okay?

  • fucking tune your guitar. god.

  • @emerald876 Go for new ears...It's tuned

  • @martinbCZ Nah man, you need to go for new ears. It's out of tune.

  • @emerald876 This video has 199 000 views...I've seen just one koment about bad tuning. Your koment.

    Your opinion is your opinion...

  • @martinbCZ Regardless of how many views it has, it's still out of tune. Do you not hear the sort of out of phase effect through it? And it's not an opinion if it's observable.

  • @martinbCZ And by the way, other people have said it's out of tune.

  • @emerald876 its not out of tune like ? u would no strait away if it was out of tune playing chords

  • marshall all the way !!!!!

  • I think the marshall sounds a little cleaner and more controlled. in clean its a little more clear and screamy in the high end and it sounds great....the bugera sounds good though still a great sounding amp.

  • great sound test thank you. they do have different tones, but its very close... the marshall seemed slightly warmer in the crunch, but i actually liked the clearer crunchiness of the bugera more. great job!

  • Comment removed

  • marshall has more body to it on the clean channel, its pretty obvious actually

the bugera has more of a gritty high end on the overdrive channel

  • Marshall is more warm and clear and not muddy

  • OMG people are so hung up on brand name...if this was a blind test,im sure alot of u marshall fanboys would be confused<<

  • @EnveBeats Exactly! :D

  • @EnveBeats I rock the jcm 900 but i stripped the logos off. I just dig it for the tone not the name..

  • here is the real test! OPen them up and lets see how they are built! I wouldnt play a Bugera if i got one free.

  • @rarebikes88 I have a Bugera 333XL, and when I had it apart to retube it, I found the build quality to be above average, and it has held up perfectly to gigging for over 2 years.

  • The thing is you can get a used JCM 900 for faitrly cheap. Just picked one up for 350

  • hey tk,can you help me out a little bit?

i'm on the edge of buying this amp but i'm worried about the problems. I'm playing from jazz to hard rock and I need an amp that's versatile. But I also need an amp which is reliable. I've tried it with my lp,strat, tele and kramer, the sound is fantastic (ex marshall user),but yet again,i'm kinda worried about it.

  • I've got a Jcm900 dual reverb and mine sounds 100 times better than the one you've got here. No idea what you're doin' wrong but dude.

  • I would spend a bit more and get the Marshall. Bugera and Behringer are the same cheap knock offs of other peoples stuff, made with cheap components in some sweat shop.

  • to me it sound as if the 1990 has more bass on the clean channel and the 900 has more highs. with the distortion on the 900 was a bit more aggressive sounding.

  • I think i would choose the marshall. At clean i think they sound the same, but at the marshall the distortion sound a bit moore controlled and less dirty than the bugera. If u click 8:33 and 9:27 you will hear the diffrence.

  • @youtubdanix

There are slight differences but for the price tag Bugera does a great job.

  • @youtubdanix yeah except the bugera is 1500$ less than the marshall

  • Marshall sounds way better. there is no high end details on the bugera

  • Well done !

  • The Bugera certainly has more "balls" in comparison to the JCM 900 , but it sounds a bit dirty. I had both Amps and I guess they are equal in overall sound. However, if you want even more kick ass gain and "balls".....forget Marshall and buy the Bugera 333XL Head. That one really blew me away...:-)

  • @vandaahl1965 it honestly comes down to me, not liking marshall, it's not that they're bad, they're just extremely overrated. and to be truthful, i would rather pare it up against a bigger amp like a mesa or blackstar, or diamond, engle

  • I think the Bugera sounds better, and honestly don't see why people keep bugeras against marshalls, because marshalls are completely overrated. I've owed the 333xl for 2 years now, and would put it up against pretty much everything except a mesa. just shows you that money and quality are not always the same, Look at any post- 1980s les paul for proof

  • I think they are both near the same.. The Tightness of the chunk ka chunk and the is easier to hear when he stops playing.

Now for me I believe as it stands here is a matter of changing the tubes out in the Bugera I believe it can really stand out for a fraction of the price.

As always if you need a ROAD WORTHY amp I suggest the JCM is built with metal knobs and better cab..

  • the marshall sounds better to me

  • you suck

  • bugera has a brighter clean channel

  • Once I again I wish this dude would just do the commentary and have someone else play that doesnt sound like a beginner. I wanna hear what these amps REALLY sound like.

  • Comment removed

  • what is better this amp or peavey windsor 100 watt head any one

  • marshall forever!

  • bugera sounds great but it has cheap delicate plastic knobs and plugs.

    not recommended

  • I mainly play blues (hendrix, srv) and that kinda stuff, should i get the 1990 or the 1960?

    Thanks

  • I've heard Bugera amps aren't very durable, but this one sounds fucking awesome. Durability shouldn't be a problem if you're nice to it.

  • Hello, I wonder if your BUGERA over time has a problem with the time, that I'm crazy to buy a BUGERA, but I've heard bad durability, I want to thank you for that up here in another country have their videos helped me a lot of choices, a big hug to you sent from Brazil

  • Is this amp good for hard rock/metal? I'm looking for a JCM800 kinda amp but I wanna be able to have a good 80s metal tone and be able to have good midrange lead tones

  • wow i didnt know jcm 900s sounded that good, mine sounds like pure shit compared to that

  • the Marshall sounds *slightly* better, hardly noticeable just a touch clearer. I ended up getting a JCM myself seeing as I found it on ebay for only a touch more than a new Bugera 1990.

  • @TheDastardlyEmu I agree. I did a blind test with this video and the JCM 900 had just a bit more clarity and definition than the 1990 Bugera, but it is very hard to tell the difference unless you are really listening for it.

  • well the marshall has slightly more gain and is louder

  • I just saw a JCM 900 for $300! Why is it so cheap? Is it any good for high gain early 90s Death Metal?

  • Those two were very close...the problem with the 1990 is that you get Bugera construction/wiring quality, though that's fixable.

  • Wow, damn close!

  • only 300€ for this monster! unbelievable!

  • hey , hi !

I wanted to ask you guys smth

is this amp good for playing GnR , led zeppelin , ac/dc ?

  • @NiklikesNirvana yes it would be great for acdc and zeppelin

  • @theendofacircle

Thx for answer , and i wanted to ask , what is the persentage that it may break ? ty

  • @NiklikesNirvana Percentage hmm, i dont think anyone could quite answer that. They're fairly reliable and come with a warranty. A lot of people own and love Bugera amps so you'd be fine to pick one up.

  • @theendofacircle

    big big thank you =)

  • @NiklikesNirvana YES YES YES YES. Ac/dc used a marshall jvm on tour on black ice. gnr i know for a fact they used a marshall since slash has a signature amp. and led zep i don't think page used marshall, he mainly used voxes and orange amps in the led zep days. but still a marshall could match up the tone more than likely

  • @codyjt5150

    Thx for the answer ;)

  • @codyjt5150 AC/DC didn't use JVMs on the black ice tour. They used 1959SLP plexi reissues and I think for some solos Angus used a JTM45

  • @hardrockerdave94 oh it was JTM, i just took a wild guess because i'm sure it had a J and a M on the amp model just didn't remember the middle letter.

  • marshall sounds tight, not better just tighter

  • I still think the Marshall is just a lil' bit better sounding. But I would definitely buy a Bugera if I could afford it! :)

  • Can't believe im ganna say this but, Bugera sounds better!

  • The best head in Bugera!

  • On the clean channel the 1990 has a little more low end,On the crunch channel the 1990 has a little more overdriven tones. I think I may pick up the 1990!

  • @northlander30 I don't know if I'd say it has more low end on the clean...I'd say it just has less mid-high than the Marshall. It has a deeper tone regardless, but in my opinion each had similar low frequencies, but the Marshall had more clarity and high end cutting through.

  • that shit is close!!

  • Bugera clean sounds a little boxy.

  • I think that the Marshall sounds better...

But, the Bugera sounds really and I mean REALLY excellent for the price. To further that, I think that it's a really promising head and definitely good for those who can't afford the good ol' Marshall.

  • man i like the bugera better

  • C,mon tone king....why set controls at 12,,,Dial in your Sweet Tone if you have one?

  • 8:55 mr crowley

  • LOL@ the 'Sounds more American' remark...the whole point is the British sound from both amps...lol...

  • Dude, I love your videos! Thanks so much for your time and info! and please don't take this the wrong way but at the beginning of your vids, it always reminds me of Bill Swerski's Superfans from snl. lol but like I said don't take that the wrong way, keep doin what you're doin and again thanks for the vids!

  • Both amps sound great but will the Bulgera hold it's value? I know Marshalls do. I mean the Bulgera is a good choice if you're on a budget but otherwise, just buy the original. There is a reason all the pros use them!

  • @chromeboyrocks Yeah. Endorsing , and sometimes cause they got money to buy... It's a good thing for poor people to have acess to something at least with decent sound quality for them to play through :D

  • @chromeboyrocks Maybe cause marshalls have been around since the electrics were invented (almost), and bugeras only been out for a few years and hasnt had time to prove itself?

  • the only difference to my ears is the clean tone the marshall has a fuller tone the bugera but its not a huge difference other then that to me they sound exactly the same

  • Winners:

Clean: Bugera 1990. To me, the Bugera is cleaner and more treble sounding.

Dirty: Marshall JCM 900. I don't know, it sounds dirtier to me, fuzzer maybe? To me, that's what a classic over-driven sound should be.

Winner: Either amp you pick up (if you are thinking about the Marshall JCM 900)

  • the marshall is kicking the bugeras ass as the rock tone gets more and more refined, its what its ment to do

  • I thought the Bugera had a more British, high end, punchy, rawer sound to it while the marshall seemed to be more warm and whole with wonderful mid and fuller more american distortion effect to it. I like them both I'm more of a fender junky myself but yeah metal heads would be satisfied with both I think equally.

  • mr.crowley ;)

  • There damn close!

In terms of pricing I woud go with the Bugera!

  • @SpongeBen30 1990 infinium

  • There's some problems with the 1990 : /

  • The Marshall sounds a lot crisper on the cleans! The Bugera sounds dark.... I guess it's more of a metal type amp!

  • im gonna be completely honest here, i could hear a slight defference BUT i almost like the bugera better!

  • Good work. Bugera FTW.

  • play it like an electric, its not a frikkin acoustic!!! GG D E who gives a fuk about those chords

  • up to 4:12 i was mad i could not hear the difference :P

  • The only JCM 900 worth its weight is the JCM 900 SLX.

  • @Nellysman1 Having owned both the SLX and DR version, the DR is a great amp just needs a little help to fatten it up.

  • Personally the Bugera sounded slightly darker to me, especially on the cleans. In response the guy in the video...a JCM 800 sounds waaaay different than a JCM 900. JCM 900s generally in even the Marshall circles are regarded as stale amplfiiers, probably because of their 5881 output section. I think both amps sounded good but I'll stick with my Marshall Vintage Modern, Bugera hasn't made a copy of that yet, and even if they did its Marshalls idea so I'll stick with them.

  • @myself.(Vandaahl)...I had a Bugera 333xl and still regret I sold it...really...it was so versatile and it had an awesome sound...Marshall coudn't beat it.......if you want to buy a Bugera Amp.....believe me.....its solid, it sounds good and it's cheap...but do yourself a favour...if you like the Marshall sound...buy a 333XL head with a Marshall cabinet...you will really be suprised...:-)

  • no doubt...i played both of them and I can say...the Bugera rocks.......totally...but the Marshall just has a little bit more definition...a bit more "what you play is what you hear"...the Bugera has a slightly more dirt in it...which can be awesome...:-) For the money I would say...go for the Bugera.....for the true die hards of old school sound...buy a JCM 900....:-)

  • I like your Les Paul.. just saying.

  • /watch?v=ZYzJrwZW9ck my jcm 900

  • i have the 1990, and for the price its absolutely the best amp ive played. marshall makes brilliant high end amps, but their lower price models just arent any good in my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @idae432 The JCM900 is a predecessor to the JCM800 which is the most respected Marshall. Only difference is the 900 has more of a distorted sound instead of the vintage overdrive everyone liked because around 1990 distortion was huge. More people prefered the 800 and prices dropped on 900. Just becuase it has a lower price it doesn't make it cheap, It's lower price comes from it's lower demand. Bugera tend to last 6 months tops. My lead gutiarist went though 3 before going back to a Marshall.

  • @rocafella142 when i said their cheaper amps i didnt mean the 900. both of those amps are great in my opinion, i was referring to the MG series. from my experience, i havent liked the sound of them. and i've heard about bugera amps breaking down also, but ive had mine about a year now and havent had a problem yet.i never meant to sound like i was trashing marhall haha, id love to have a nice Marshall, but my bugera for it blew the mashalls i played in the same price range out of the water.

  • @idae432 oh ok I gotcha lol...yea the MG is pure shit I agree with you there

  • What the heck do you do for a living?

  • @JimboSlip i would like to know too!

  • and he has very much space.

  • When he has 60 million amps in his closet he must be very rich.

  • @NewGuitarManiac and you are very clever

  • Get it, head to head demo? ;)

  • damn, i just fell in love with that bugera!!

  • is it loud enough for band playing

we play metal so it have to be very loud and does it work well with effect pedal

  • @BHUJJUable It's louder than you need, and of course i works well with pedals.

  • Tone King! Thanks man this review helped push me to buy the Bugera 1990 for 350 bucks.. brand new shipped to my door.. GREAT AMP! Wow thanks again for the shootout. This amp is amazing.

  • MR CROWLEY!

  • Not exactly the same, but pretty damn close. Good job bugera. The question is how does put up with the abuse of a tour.

  • How did you EQ both amps? Because the Bugera sounds more Bass heavy than the Marshall

  • im eating corn nuts while listening to this, and reading comments... they both sound good---its all about preference, i was considering the bugera yesterday to leave at the practice pad and to keep my mesa home but i went into the store and they didnt sell bugera so i bought the marshall jcm900 havent hooked it up yet :p -----for me its about sound and prefernce BUT if your amp is killer sounding and digging it and you look over and its a marshall mesa it kinda makes you feel in good hands, imho

  • 餔餔痛...................

  • Personally, I like the sound of the Bugera better. I'm going to get one once i get the cash for it. Been researching on it for months and made my decision. :D

  • On clean settings Marshall buries the Bugera hands down. Marshall = sparkle Bugera = muffled. On the dirty settings, the Bugera gets its revenge. Now, being an American, I would give Marshall preference if I were in the market. I would prefer to share my cash with the "Brits" rather than the Chinese. They steal and copy OUR products and pay their laborers a quarter an hour with no perks. Isn't that what's happening to our economy already? Everything in my house says "Made in China." Pity

  • Much love Tone King! I was looking at a '91 JCM900 yesterday. They already had JJs in it. I would swap out the celestions for gold backs.

You're right the two sound identical. Will the Bugera hold it's resale like a Marshall?

  • @NapalmBBQ Yep. I mean, if there's any justice in the world it will...hang on...

    ...now I made myself sad.

  • @guitdude09 So quick to judge!

  • No double blind test with recorded samples = No credibility.

  • if u dont treat marshalls like a baby..i tried every marshal u can think of, the break alot they are like BMW cars.. they make 'em to break it will fuck u up

and i just ana say what my marshall tills me every day : "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

    FUCK MARSHALL Peavey <3

  • That looks like a peavey 5150 or the 6505 there to the right. Bad ass amp!!!

  • Dashizzler its probably a screen grid resister under the tube socket. They ware out from overheating.

  • I instantly was remined of the wars end at 3:00. coool, same chords or somthin

  • Marshall sounds a tad bit beefier, thicker, more meat and potatoes than the less expensive Bugera. But the Bugera 6262 sounds fuller than this stock Marshall. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video man, helped me decide whether to buy a Marshall amplifier or not, I'd prefer to get a JCM900 amp, but can't afford it haha, getting a MG15DFX Instead, Yeah, the sound isn't amazing, but it's fine for a practice amp :)

  • Bugeras sound just fine, but really, JCM900s go for cheap enough on Ebay and craigslist that you might as well get the real thing.

  • @burgerdragon That may all be true but is it built as well, will it last as long and will it let you down on stage in a big situation. The cheaper gear sometimes does.

  • I didnt actually watch the video i just listened to the sound and I missed where he said which head he was using. I didn't hear much difference and what little there was it didn't necassarily mean one was better, just different. Barely.

  • Personally, I had the impression that the Marshall had a little bit more of a organic response to your playing. Yet I only heard this difference at about 9:40...

Overall, i'm really really impressed! I've listened the movie a few times without watching and I truly can't hear a difference between the two. So, hence the price, I would defenately go for the Bugera! Marshall rocks because it's called Marshall and has the name and fame, Bugera rocks because it sounds amazing for its price!

  • hey man great shoot out as usall i enjoy them all! i have a question. does Tour Supply ship outside of america? because i wanna buy some stuff from there but i live in Ireland

  • is there a bugera 1980 ?

  • They sound quite alike.

  • @4CiD911 No, your ears are fine. It sounds as good, if not better. Despite what others may think, tone is subjective...there is no GOOD or BAD tone. If you like it, its good, no matter what anyone may think.

  • Ultimately, as someone who has played [and owned] Marshall DSL and TSL. Peavey XXX and 5150. And every Carvin amp they've made since the mid 80's, these Brugera amps are getting a bad rap from people who have no business offering their opinion. Brugera literally knocks off Peavey and Marshalls schematics [how I have no idea] and these are basically Chinese dopplegangers of those aforementioned Peavey and Marshall amps. They are worth the money, and if they break down, fix em. Period!

  • As for the production quality of Brugera amps, yes, we all know the parent company is Behringer and they have developed a very well deserved reputation of shoddy equipment. But I'll say two things about that...first, the economic climate and weak dollar dictates heavily outsourced production. Quality is dropping across the board. Second, Brugera, while being part of Behringer, is a slightly different beast...better quality despite the questionable heritage.

  • There are FAR too many gear snobs out there. And as much is this comment is going to hurt some people's opinions, there are a lot [AND I MEAN A LOT] of people who sound terrible using Marshall amps, Mesa amps, or Fender amps, let alone Brugera amps. Those people mistake their frustration with their own ability with poor gear, when 3/4 of tone is in the player.

  • i actually like the 1990 more. and i've "listened" to this vid too many times finding similarities over differences. :)

  • I must say to all the haters out there, Bugera is a really good amp company. I know they're owned by Behringer and all but they are really good. I played a small Bugera tube combo amp at a Guitar Center and I was really impressed. I mean really impressed. I was also really playing this amp. I wasn't playing no mids crap metal or only blues scales. I was playing 60's rock like Cream and The Kinks to 90's punk like Green Day and such. I was really impressed. Don't judge an amp by it's name.

  • bugera sounds really better than marshall. i think that bugera have cleaner sound. :)

  • They sound the same, but which will last longer, as in quality craftsmanship, that is the question?

  • @a2wtommy A modern production Marshall amp versus a modern production Bugera? Probably about the same. I've worked on new Marshalls, they're not particularly well built, and I've modded Bugeras, which are pretty much identical in quality. A vintage Marshall versus a modern Bugera? Probably the Marshall, if you keep spending money on repairs, but keep in mind there are no "vintage" JCM900s.

  • why does everything this guy plays sounds the same? every amp, every pedal, every riff lol. bluesy solos on southern sounding riffs. everyone who plays this just sounds the same. I'm a metal/rock guitarist and everyone is either playing bluesy crap or tin-can cold ass metal (no offense). I need some sweet chainsaw crunch sound heavy yet good for alt.rock sound. not some whiney buzzy country rock shit. It's hard to compare things online. like at 9:40 its easier to see the flexibility of the tone.

  • i'd have to say theyre alot closer in sound than i thought theyd be

  • Which 900 are you comparing it with, and which is the Bugera supposed to be modeled after? There are after all several different iterations of the JCM 900, most of which feature diode clipping in their circuitry.

  • Do you own a guitar shop or do you have like 60 million amps in your closet

  • @AcidRAINBOWPro I have 60 million amps in my closet

  • @lmsjr hahaa thats awesome. Hey i'm trying to find a good amp, that can play heavy metal, at a good price range...I saw a Spider Valve HD100 on clearence at guitar center and i'm considering it. Any suggestions?
