They remind me of a type of honey fungus but they are slightly different...I just picked Matsutake mushrooms today..so I can only positively tell you what they are not...:)
If you take good photo including the gills, and maybe take a spore print someone at mushroomobserver Dot O r g will help you out, mycologists and some very knowledgeable people use the site.

Those are NOT Matsutake mushrooms...do NOT eat them!

Definitely not Matsutake! I don't know what they are, but likely not edible. I'm not familiar with that area though.
