Most high-end game headsets cost around € 80 to € 120,- which is alot. This headset from creative is bought so many times, because it's only € 30,- and you will be able to hear footsteps in the right direction(s).

9.1? ahahaha i had the fatal1ty hs-1000 and died in less 7 months, and its extremely uncomfortable,the sound quality is horrible, ESPECIALLY THE BASS

Silencer is bullshit. Check Noise Cancellation on Google, Yahoo, Bing, whatever.

Creative has the guts to sell this as some triangularization ultra-hi-end technology even it is old and really popular! Most INTEGRATED AUDIO CODECS has it! You can find it on ASUS Xonar (U1 for instance) audio card series.

Do not trust Creative. They don't sell anything new. The only thing they do is taking popular technologies and renaming them to make them look new.

@malachik1 dont know how to with the hs1000 you also could try changing the accessory settings -audio device settings to all come out of your headphones ( input & output)

@TheYellowLizard - because you only have a usb plugged in. the ps3 needs a usb for chat and a mini (headphone) plug going into the tv.

if headpohnes have the problem where only 1 ear works and the other crackles and goes on but mostly off, you've most likely pulled the wire, and you've got a lose/weak or maybe a slightly broken connection

I've had this headset for over a year (I think so) and it's still in great shape. I had the mouse too but it broke after one month! The button layout was cool but I had to buy a real mouse - Steelseries Ikari.

I wouldn't be surpised if microsoft have an agreement which means only they are allowed to make headsets to plug into the controller.

MS isnt the only one allowed to make 360 headset BUT the from what i know the manufacturer must purchase the license from MS to be able to make one compatible. sony isnt as harsh with the ps3. mostly any USB headset will work with the ps3, officially licensed or not. however, if its not licensed, chances are the mic wont work.
