  • @Outlaw2791 Sorry, I should have been more specific in that their mtDNA tends to be Amerindian. Although, from what I have seen some males to have a YDNA but is more common among mtDNA. This is also true for central and south America.

  • @Outlaw2791 Latin Americans, 53% of them have an Amerindian halpogroup. It goes to show, the Tanio people did not disappear. I'm 1/4 Black.

  • @Outlaw2791 Thanks, first time I've heard that.

  • @Gainerpup313 Yes, you are right about that. Not every slave was raped. I think that is what Malcolm X said, "Slave rape mix." Many mixed relationships were about natural attraction. Natural selection ;-)

  • Respond to this video..........Cont'd: Your jumping ship from the Black community. Most Black people will say, "We're all mixed." Fact is some people are just culturally different. My family is mixed with Cherokee as well, they descend from Western, NC. Appalachia.

You are right, we are inclined to categorize people by physical appearance. I can do this as well.

  • @Gainerpup313 I guess we are trained "socially" to place people in categories. Even with us that are mixed, we are always told to define ourselves. Most Native Americans are not too keen on mixed bloods. I have a friend who is a Paiute in Oregon. Any Natives or people claiming to be East of the MS the don't consider NA, just mixed breeds. I think because African Americans are looked at as a "mixed" race of people, if you say your not Black.........Continue

  • @Gainerpup313 With that, I'm not saying these people are not Native American, people can call themselves whatever they wish, obviously some ( in the vid) look Black and a few actually look Mulatto. I noticed a post you made that 80% of Natives are mixed. There are some that are mixed yes, some with rather distant ancestry. Where are you getting these numbers from, 80%? I don't think every NA on every Rez was tested, with regard to DNA. Most still look indigenous, even those that are "part" NA.

  • @Gainerpup313 My opinion only.......You may not be able to tell if a person is mixed by looking at them because usually they are predominately of another race. In my case, my mother is European and my father is Native American and Black American, people think he is Filipino and sometimes Mexican, he looks mixed, his father was Native American and his mother is Black and Saponi who are not fully Native. I myself, look Latino.....Latino's who essentially are mixed looking.

  • @Gainerpup313 You should visit the reservations west of the MS. You will see most of them are not mixed. This is a myth. However. East of the MS, we are mixed. You have to realize, the NA's on the East Coast face the brunt of the new world assault, we took it the hardest, which led to the Trail of Tears. West of the MS, they were stable. Most Natives really do not date off the Rez. Some do, but not a lot.

  • This baffles me.....I have Native American ancestors but because I have other things in me too, I call myself "Multiracial." This is what I am. I don't get rights for that. Secondly, NA should not need a government to defined them, they should set their own rules. These people are Zambo's.....not NA's.

  • They are African Americans whose ancestors were ashamed of their heritage and wanted to be "Indian" instead of what they really are-black. BTW my feelings are exactly the same for all the whites who do the exact same thing. I know 80% of Eastern NA are mixed, but Jesus Christ, it's embarrasing when you have to deny who you really are.

  • @Gainerpup313 Yes I do know plenty of Indians, but not these! These are straight up black, worse than the "Cherokee" black girl you're debating with me back and forth on the other thread.

  • OK, but I still didn't see any Indians.

  • Congratulations! May you receive all the respect and honor that you deserve!

  • Congrats to the family!!

  • WAY OVER DO.
