@yc05cvm Hmm, quite a while since we build this. Well, you're looking at about 49p for a can of baked beans for the chassis :P, the servos are about 5 quid each (possibly cheaper) and the receiver was about 5 quid too. The batteries are 4 cells from a rechargeable 9V battery which can range from £4-10 depending on where you go and the quality of the battery. that's about it really cos the wheels and stuff were made from bits of polycarb we had lying around.
@liamglen1 i think a gear cutter or milling blade would make a decent flywheel sub but i've seen flywheels that weigh much less than 10kg look at hexbug nanos they operate with a flywheel and are only about 50g
@Bowsersshell a flywheel is the thing in a car so it has to weigh about 30 kg! a blade and a flywheel are 2 totally different things ! a lot of pple get mistaken for a disc/blade for a flywheel ! if you watch robot wars you will see one of the only robots with a flywheel is matilda!
@liamglen1 i have watched robot wars extensivly hypnodisc has a flywheel but some kids toys have flywheels and an antweight could easily have a flywheel
Next to nothing tbh. The chassis is a composed of a piece of thin polycarb and a tin of beans. Wheels are milled out of bits of polycard that we had lying around and the innards i.e. servos and such are out of the bundle of stuff that you get in a transmitter box that weren't being used. I think the mini receiver cost about £8 or something. So not much at all :D
I know, its really difficult to control, at least the other one was slow lol. Yeah, we were thinking of getting a mixer but we're trying to spend as little money as possible.
ow, yea... that is umm...FREAKING AWSOME!!!!!!

nooloo3000 1 year ago
@nooloo3000 It's a futaba sky sports 6 equivalent (can't remember the exact model number). And the receiver is just an unbranded one off ebay.

maybe put some wheels on the front, so it doesnt make that scraping sound as it moves around.

OldMcDonald331 2 years ago
where did you get the antwieght bits from
dalekandjedi 3 years ago
most of the innards of either from hobby corner or the internet, the chassis is pretty much made from bt of jun kthat we found lying around

does not have a lot of grip, stick some elastics on the wheels.

it looks like your transmitter has a mixer built into it.

get a mixer so you don't have to control it that way
