  • 0:36-0:51 diablo II 0:52-1:17 lord of the rings 1:18-1:32 morrowind

  • I used to make music like this.... Then I took an arrow to the knee =/

  • NWN2 got lots of amazing music , i like the one in the Neverwinter harbour at night.....too bad the ending is very very sad, i almost dont have the heart to start mask of the betrayer as i still think of all those friends in the NWN2 original

  • The music and the picture for this video remind me of the many forests over here in the Pacific Northwest. Calm and quiet and rainy and cold, and it's all beautiful.

  • far too short

  • I remember NWN 1 Port Llast chapter 2, when you finish this quest about the tainted castle of the Jhareg brothers. Y'know all those undead, you being the judge, Lathander, and that stupid demon Belial. That quest seriously spooked me, then when you finish it, upon exiting the castle mayor Mobly stayed behind to say goodbye then this music starts.

  • @SxiaNXi holy shit, i had forgotten that part. It was an amazing sidequest.

  • @SxiaNXi agree, imho that q was one of the best in the game

  • This somehow reminded me of Zelda:O Its that beautiful !

  • Very, very beautiful. Some weekas ago, I put it on the MP3 when I was walking through a wood of beeches and the effect was great.

  • Jeremy Soule was the Mastermind behind the Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, Morrowind, Guild Wars, Oblivion and Skyrim Soundtracks. So its pretty much possible that you can hear hints of Morrowind in here, made by the same brilliant mind afterall.

  • @DragonheadPR Don't forget Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander and Dawn of War. If you've never heard/played those, give them a listen, it's some of Soule's best.

  • @DragonheadPR Definitely, the games came out around the same time, there is going to be A LOT of crossover, because he was undoubtedly writing the games tracks at the same time.

  • WOW what a song! This is pure beauty. :)

  • Robin Jones: "Such beautiful trees, for some reason they make me feel.....at peace." *looks at one of the trees and hugs them not noticing a Dryad standing beside it before hearing her giggle and pat him on the back*

Dryad: "The forest spirits smile upon you."

  • this song remind me about lord of the rings

    spescaily on 0:46 to 1:25...

  • Getting hints of Morrowind music in here.

  • @Darkmage1293 I believe both Neverwinter Nights and Morrowind music was composed by Jeremy Soule.

  • @Blashyrkh22: Yes, that's right. He also composed for Dungeon Siege, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Icewind Dale, the Harry Potter- and the Star Wars-Videogame-Soundtracks. His work is so amazing.

  • @EndOfDeceive Yes, he is definitely my favorite video game composer. Inon Zur is great as well.

  • it truely captured the essenz of a forest...just amazing :)

  • positive comments make this so much better!

  • So gentle and soothing. Why on earth don't more PW builders include this music in some areas???

  • I love the NwN music, always has an underlying eery feel to it... Well.. maybe with the exception of the Tavern music of course.

  • *tears of joy*

  • another world, pure and full of life

  • @MrOpenGamer No supper for you boy. Never mention that name on a video such as this lest it's taint infect the forest :)

  • @Damocles178

"It is tain infect the forest" (effectively what you said)?

Regardless, JB is MUCH worse than that.

  • @MrOpenGamer EVIL! you utter such a name HERE!? i shall slay you where you stand! *is of course rping that part no hard feelings*

  • @porkchoppohl

You don't secretely like him do you? It's just normal people don't usually take offence when you insult a worthless, talantless, wannabe.

  • @MrOpenGamer i was joking. rp= role play, acting. =D

  • @porkchoppohl

    Good point.

  • where do I get nwn 2?

  • @masterdmcx If you have steam you can download it on there for $20, otherwise you would have to order it from online for about the same price once you figure in shipping.

  • nwn 1 gave me a great experience. when u listen this it feels like you are in the forest. many games today with 100 times better graphics do not have that feeling.

    really nostalgic.

  • This was THE best game I ever played, both as a single player and a multi-player game. Nothing is better than role playing on a persistent player made world, and developing a story for you hero.

  • Oh yes, great theme. I remember hours of the main story in forests.

  • Haven't played the game, but I love this track. Wish it was longer.

  • Nostalgia <3

  • Reminds me of that deer god or whatever we had to save in one part...

  • Just amazing the songs in this game. It's like lotr the film. You can not imagine another songs for it.

  • Absolutely love this soundtrack!

  • In unhappy times like these, this song always takes me into a world that's more beautiful. It's so simple, yet so amazing <3

  • @Marliseyna this is a complicated world we live in...simple things amaze us everyday but few ppl appriciate em ^^

  • What I hope, I'm remembered for.

  • Unfortunately the only thing that I think of when I hear this music is loading screens T_T

  • @gaxxag i did just lol at that

  • displaying a necessity of nostalgic memories

  • displaying a necessity of nostalgic memories

  • epic game along with baldurs & icewind

    epic tunes

    i love DnD

  • @tremete Seconded.

  • @Valasilphukiir An a third.

  • @tremete I never liked icewind as a game however, and sadly never played baldurs

  • Ммм... Ностальгия...

  • The ancient Faerun, Forgotten Realms and their epic atmosphere. :-)

  • One of my favourite songs from Neverwinter Nights. When I heard it, I started crying. Why? Because I saw wonderful forest, I saw something we all won't see in the future if we completely destroy the environment. Pure green forests, crystal blue rivers and wild animals which live in perfect harmony. I know I'm exaggerating but this music is so magical, it just takes you into the Heart of the Forest. It makes you see the Wonders of Nature.

  • Not at all, but I can see my words have been well placed. "giggles" teehee derp derp

    So kawaii

    <3

    :3

  • Another narrow-minded man who thinks that stage direction used by me means I'm sweet and stupid girl, eh? Pathetic! This using of stage direction is called irony, my dear, if you don't know.

  • Definitely the best song in the game. Every time I hear it, it soothes all my nerves and disspitates all the chaos and turbidity in my soul. It's great songs like these that keep my head up and looking forward to a brighter future, while at the same time appreciating the present.

And it reminds me of that druid group in the forest for which you had to help save the spirit of the forest =D.

  • Probably my favourite song in the game.

  • Yes!!It's Wonderfull music!Elani music I want say! She's forest elf and she have circle of swamp!!:))This music convict me remember Elani it's her music!

  • Красивая музыка!!!

  • Very beautiful music indeed.

  • This is indeed maybe the best track on the game. Thanks!

  • The best game soundtrack known to man, it's that simple!!!

  • It's pretty good yeah but it still lacks quite a bit compared to Icewind Dale series OST.

  • @Destero87 icewind dale SUCKED, the music way be better, but dude that game sucked

  • Amazing! Good stuff!

  • i played this game online for over a year, it was the world of warcraft before world of warcraft,,,awesome game.

  • The nostalgia makes my heart cave in

  • Trees Shivering, Streams flowing and birds singing...

  • Wonderful, and heavenly!

When i was starting from beggining i just coulndt wait whole game to get to 3 act and listen this music which was fitting two brothers mission awesome as well.... waiting whole game

  • Love the tunes, but would be better playing over a slideshow of images instead of the one image (or is that just me being fussy?)

You should check out my vid Beautiful Woodlands of England. Think you might like it.....

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. You'll never know...

  • Perfect song for this image: Imagine a movie, or trilogy, or series of movies based on the world of Faerun that re-defines the fantasy-genre with it's richness of culture and history. A movie that focusses on the STORY rather than trying to "stay true" to a game that has no story other than what has been written in the novels and stories. LOTR would go down in FLAMES.

  • прекрасная музыка...аш плакать хочется..

  • Whoa, this brings me back. Beautiful music. Went so well with exploring mysterious forests. :)

  • I remember very well having my Greater Air Elemental with me during this part of the campaign. The ambient sound of my air elemental went perfectly with this song. Such great times...

  • The one of the greates song ever

  • Best game ive played in my whole life... This game was so epic, so adventurous, so... GREAT! The players in multiplayer were awesome too, i really miss roleplaying with those guys... If i just close my eyes, I can remember the whole forest (and the bears.. God, i hated those brown bears)... Great song, marvelous game. Thanks for uploading.

  • This music is so beautiful. Jeremy Soule's music is amazing.

  • Agree, but not by much!

  • 0:37-0:53 is the most beautiful part imo.

  • NWN is a great game among others, and it's theme songs who are so many make the game sooo soulest..

I'm sorry for you revor, if you say that your girlfriend was pretty much on top of everything then i guess u really had loved her..

instead of sadness and sorrow cuz me too once had such a girl and now took a road to nowhere too, i think about a holy forest that i step and find purity with all knowledge, intelligence some power and a nice coolness and to return to the world with a dif perception

  • Nice said.

  • Had alot of fun with this game, but i think Baldur's gate 2 is still better. You guys should try it if you have a chance to.

  • I wouldn't compare NWN to BG2, NWN singleplayer sucked, it stand no chance, however NWN is Multiplay.

That's the only real crpg I meet, becouse of plaing with other people's characters. You only need to find proper sever focused on roleplay, not some kind arena.

  • yes but I couldn't play online.

Even though the solo wasn't that great, it had some good moment (and had Deekin!)

  • Multiplayer NWN was were it was at, people made some wonderful modules for it.

Some of the single player mods were REALLY good though.

Didn't like the single player story myself.

  • aw man, what was wrong with the single-player? I myself tried many multiplayer modules but didn't enjoy them as much. In the original single player campaign, I was totally immersed. NWN was one of the few single-player RPG's that truly sucked me in.

  • I use to play this game alot. this song makes me cry because it takes me back to 2003 when i was in school, had a girlfriend, was pretty much on top of everything. Now I've lost all of that and at a road to nowhere now.

  • Welcome to life my man, one day you up there.. next youre on the floor. Think rocky said it best./. its not how hard you punch life.. but how well you endure the punches.

  • thats the life boy...

youll never know what will happen in future....

for myself, i should say, that everything was better in past, than now...

  • You still have control of it.

  • jeremy soule?

  • I haven't played in around a year..

If i close my eyes, i still see the forest so clearly.

  • i thik i could have pleyed forever if only the story would have continued ...the guy that wrote the original modules should be contacted for a film ... .isn't this pretty similar to the vai'lutra forest theme from dungeon siege 2 ?

  • Beautiful, dreamy. I like!!!

  • I'm still playing it, tis is the best ever made game, it's not about graphics, it's the gameplay, the ambience, I can't count how many hours we played it in multi....

I just have to close my eyes and I can see the forest!!!

  • i used to play this all day for months I loved the storyline best game i ever played

  • I'm always amazed how much all NwN fans come to miss it now... In fact I don't think any game has ever left me this impression. Hopefully we get a great and epic NwN 3... someday :-)

  • You wanna know what would be cool? a Neverwinter nights themed MMORPG!

  • The sorrow of the night

    The magic in adevnture

    The hand of a friend

    The heart of the forest

I will never forget you neverwinter nights,

thank you for everything, always in me, always with me.

  • IT'S A GAME!

    A great game, though...

  • I love Neverwinter it's a feeling of overwhelming glee and sadness that seize me as i play it. I miss every second i spend it on that game, as for the forests; they are the best thing which i loved to dwell with my character. Sometimes i just stand staring how beautiful and amazing it is.

  • One of the most epic song, who I ever heard.

  • Oh god the memories.....Pretending to be sick so I could stay in my dorm and play nwn on My laptop!.....The forests were always My favorite places in neverwinter nights...so sad, ancient and mysterious.

  • one of my favorite parts is the toolset.

    using it is so awesome.

  • Uff I remember when playing in a PW this song was used in a hounted forest filled with sad stories, this song always put me in a kind of... sad, nostalgic mood... and... there were tears too... but that's another story. =P

  • When i close my eyes i see forest, everything is on harmony with me great feeling...

  • nostalgia........

  • Favorite non-battle theme, hands down. :)

  • NWN music was great! I really miss playing that game..

  • he's right but however there were more themes released so it made it not as bad

  • I agree with akirosette, NWN was probably Jeremy Soule's weakest effort.. well ok, KotOR was worse. there are too few of his unbelievably gorgeous atmospheric pieces, and too much combat music, which he was never very good at

  • I wish he did the music for Warcraft... that music is boring.

  • Rawful. to true :D

  • love jeremy soule's music!

  • this is very relaxing. Brings back memories. I use to fall asleep with the game running while the music plays.

  • yes this is awesome playing late at night when ur so tired the view of the forest just so relaxing i think its one of the reason i prefer nwn to BG2

  • Yeah, i remember this. Great stuff!

  • Beautiful. :)
