Also - I know this probably won't be much help now, but when they're little, you're supposed to rub their paws a ton so that they get used to you holding them, and won't cause such a fuss when trying to clip their nails. Unless if you just have a stubborn kitty :)

Cats have nerves in their nails called the quick so u have to be really careful not to cut too far with my cat I can usually see it (hers is light pink) really all u need to do is cut the tips.. What kind of clippers were u using?
