  • You can tell they are beginners, full length resizing when unnecessary, instead of letting the cases flash form. Only full length resize when absolutely necessary! Subsequently the brass will be fire formed to your exact chamber dimensions, will def aid in accuracy.

  • @MrRichardsSmoker Good choice in load though, I load something similar and keep very nice groups at 600yd

  • What is the point of bullets

    "To inflict damage upon face"

    nuff said

  • @KineticNK Flaech and face, LOL

  • You ever going to make a video shooting at range with this setup? 600yd would be great. Take a break from the endless run and guns. Im sure this would draw new viewers.

  • I wish you would make a video shooting this rifle at 700 yards.

  • is this nutn's son or something?

  • @billymayer1000 Yup, thats Tactical Doodle... Last Suspects older brother.

  • y the fuk do u reload them they r so cheap

  • @Motocross981 hand loads can be far more accurate compared to most factory ammo plus this video was made during the obama scare when any ammo was few and far between

  • um.. isnt it easier and faster to just buy half a case of ammo?

  • @MultipleS2002 Do they look like they're made out of money? I dont know if you've noticed but mk262 and it's equivalents are around a dollar a round.

  • Cool didn't know that nutn did handloads.

  • Cool video!

What load data ended up working best for you?

I'm getting ready to get back into reloading and I'm building a AR 15 with a 1:7 twist 20" BCM barrel and will be install an Osprey gas piston system. I'm really interested in loading Sierra MatchKing 77 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail with Cannelure bullets. I will also be using tac powder. I will not use anybody's loading data I always start at minimum and work my way up. i'm just curious what worked best for you. Thanks in advance!

  • cool vid. i would enjoy sitn around for a few hrs a week reloading

  • Western Powders which include the Ramshot and AcCurate Armwhich lines or powders are all really fine ball powder. I know you guys were building up a load. But once find a load, go with a powder flow instead of the borrowed Chargemaster. I used TAC on my .30-30 and it works fine. I wasn't as pleased with my bolt action .223 and went with AA-2230. But that stuff throws like there is no tomorrow and is really consistent. And it's a Montanan product too.

  • Not sure if you reload as much still. Something I learned from my father was to . use colored markers on the primer to sort the loads This way in the event of a spilled ammo box you should be able to tell the loads apart. I do just the primer so I don't mix up the case heads for future load testing. FWIW RL-15 has given me great performance in .223 as well as 308 8mm Mauser and 22-250.

  • I wouldnt worry about comments from "Professional Reloaders"..... I started reloading for a Winchester 94 leveraction chambered in 30-30 with a LeeLoader... No press just smack it with a malet ... With that caveman method i reloaded hundreds of consistent rounds.. Mostly hardcast plinking loads that allowed me to shoot the crap out of my 94 on the cheap... Handloading doesnt need to be expensive or complicated BTW, The lee loader is a great piece of kit for camp reloading.

  • nice reloading guys

  • About how much money do you save doing your own loads instead of buying shelf? I would like to spend the cash now for some high quality reload gear and I just want to know how much it will save me 20 years in the future.

  • Nice vid

  • lol what hapes if some one droped a match in there.......BANG!!!!

  • killer stuff

  • Do i hear Mr. Brightside in the background?

  • Hah! Thats exactly what that is. Good spot.

  • Ya the Chargemasters are very Nice

  • What primers are you using there?

  • I haven't hag great success with the tac powder, it shoots 1 moa with my rifle with a 16" 1 in 9 full bull barrel and 50 gr. nosler ballistic tips, but the BLC (2) powder shoots .25 moa one ragged hole. I'd like to try some heaver 69 or 70 gr. bullets for the high b.c.

  • Okay

  • lol he is a busy student i ma a busy wat ever

i barely pay atention at class i am rather talking asleep skiping classes ( how i ask the teacher to go to the restroom if and come back right before its over if they ask why do i take so long i awnser i have a weak stomach but thats just fake) or either looking at the mountains from the window

  • enjoy your future career flipping burgers at mc donalds

  • i have a 95/100 academic average so no i wont be flipping burgers at mc donalds

  • Take care of yourself. You'll feel much better when you have enough sleep. That's what I learned based on personal experience. :)

  • Lol, nice background music.

  • Oh! I saw nutnfancy loading data. 1.75 case 2.26 oal too bad I already try those lol. 23.1gr of TAC works pretty good out of 16" and 21gr of N140 out of 24"....hmm but there must be something else that can squeeze the juice out of 77smk.

  • ok, im getting constant grief from my friends, they say you cant pronounce the caliber as two two three, and its only correct to say two twenty-three, but i say its both, anyone want to help me out?

  • either are perfectly fine, in fact, i prefer two two three

  • thank you, even though my friends still wont believe me, any support helps

  • It is both. Your friends need to get out more.

That is to bicker about either twenty-four hundred or two thousand 4 hundred is correct...

    Just do your own thing.

  • @907carlover you're both right, its just preference...i say two two three

  • doesant really matter, in England, everyone says two-two-three and if its a 222, then eveyone one says triple-two

  • what type of press do you use? i want to start reloading but i dont want to spend tons on the equipment....does anyone have a recomendation for a relatively inexpensive press setup that's not a piece of crap?

  • go check out midwayusa, they have some cheap single stage presses that will survive a nuclear blast

  • ive been looking in to reloading myself. the best prices that i have seen come from LEE Reloading supplies. They've got some excellent starter kits for great prices. Make sure that you get the propper literature before so that you dont blow your hand off.

  • everything ive read and heard about lee is that its junk,im looking into getting into this as well, ive got it down to an rcbs or dillion precision kits.

  • I consistantly shoot sub-moa groups with Lee dies. Highly recomended.

  • i have a rugger m77(25-06) i can put out a 1/4 inch group with it at 100 yds. i hand trim hand load my own brass(fedral cases) weigh each bullet, weigh out the powder.

  • I perfer using the Lee case trimmer chucked up in my electric drill. Very fast and consistent.

  • I heard LaRue 20" Upper? Baller.... Keep it up!

  • Is there a way too make lead harder or something too be able too work better in a .223?

  • nice....i have learn all

  • Fun video, guys.

    Thanks for sharing it.

  • You guys are funny. Good vid.

If people give you crap for not sounding like drill Sargents, just ban them and delete their comments. Life's to short to worry about trolls.

  • Good Stuff! Keep up the good work!

  • Let your son do the trimming, how cool..... keep the good vids comming

  • load data?????

  • The M4 's effective range is rated at 400+ meters.

  • " To inflict damage upon flesh " , LOL!

    Good vid NutnFancy!

  • that gun shit isnt funny

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhh TA30 I was looking at one for my AR.

  • screw realoding just buy ammo

  • in common military calibers yes, especially if your "blasting" and using alot of ammo - it is probably best to buy the stuff. However, is non-military calibers things are different - I just bought 20 empty brass for 577 Tyrannosaur - $176.00.. NOT including shipping. I'm saving quite a bit of money because loaded ammo is almost $200 for a box of 10 rounds... So, reloading does have its advantages...

  • So building your own bullets gives them more accuracy? News to me.

  • From standard factory loads like Winchester or Remington anyways. It allows you to fit the ammo to your rifle.

Factory made match grade ammo is very hard to beat.

  • I'm interested in reloading but know very little. Why are you using a Sierra .224 dia bullet instead of a .223 dia bullet? Your AR is a .223 is it not?

  • all .22 cal guns rounds use .224 diameter bullets. 22lr .223 22-250 etc.

  • the caliber of the gun refers to the diameter of the barrel. the bullet is slightly over sized to allow the rifling to make a tight seal against the bullet to keep gases from getting around the bullet.

  • The "name" of a cartidge is just that A NAME.. its doesnt mean the bullet is "actually" the diameter stated.. Example: 218 Bee, 219 Zipper, 220 Swift, 221 Fireball, 222 Remington, 223 Remington, 224 Weatherby, and the 225 Wincester ALL use .224 diameter bullets.. There is a reason for this, but too long to discuss here..

  • Great videos....Question, what kind of ammo (.223) do you recommend that I should stock pile for when "sh*t hits the fan"? I get too many different opinions from folks, I don't know what to go with. I have a DPMS AP4 with a 1 in 9 twist. I always fear the worst will happen: Natural Disasters, Gov't thugs & illegal gun confiscations, the Chinese invade, Rodney King Riots, WW3, Economic Collapse & Civil Unrest, Criminals & Murderers, Zombies! the list goes on..what would be the best .223 round

  • elvis coming back.

  • ROFL!

  • very cool vid. I always find your videos informative. Keep up the great work.

  • Bro to get a good 600 yard 223 cartage try using 80 grain heads they are rare but effective but your rifle needs a 1 in 9 twist or 1 in 8 twist

  • pushing the 223 past 200 yards is futile...

  • ummm, no, even 250 yards is pretty much flatline from the muzzle. what do you shoot?

  • Whats your point?? I have a PISTOL that fires 223 rem, if thats what your getting at..

  • oh, that makes sense, i was meaning a rifle. i didn't mean to sound offensive. :D

  • how do you test 'em ? ;)

  • shoot 'em

  • SO FUNNY!!!!!!

  • OMG he is a busy college student.....hahahhaha

  • He had a box tip over in the desert.....hilarous!!!HAHAH

  • OMG I cant believe this shit!!!!

  • Do you need a "license" to do this stuff at home?

  • not at all. As if you need a license to buy ammunition in walmart. In short doing it at home is not as costly as buying factory loads... plus you can customize the qualities of the bullet, like the weight of the actual projectile (depending on what you buy... hollow point, etc), and the powder charge...

  • Dude I can't find any of this stuff at a Wal-Mart

  • Hmm maybe walmart was a bad example and maybe saying you need a license to buy ammo was also a bad example, since last i heard Obama wanted such a law.

Nonetheless goto a store like Gander Mountain... you will find tons of reloading equipment... or just go to any reputable gun store etc... maybe if theirs a Cabalas nearby you can try there.

Like the video shows... it gets very meticulious, and it can be dangerous if done improperly. I already saw a vid on youtube where someones Ar15 blows up.

  • Nope.

  • Keeping it Second Amendment

  • Bjork...VERY FUNNY!

  • i feel scared coming near that place lol

  • Comment removed

  • I thing putting the ammo in bags is an awesome idea. Where do you buy your bags and what size do you use?

  • booowt tailsssss lolz

  • lol I've had my rounds dump out in the dirt before too. Thanks for another vid, have you seen ammosmith's videos? He does some excellent videos on reloading.

  • Any 77gr (Sierra, Nosler, Lapua, Berger)

    24.0gr RL15

    LC brass

CCI BR4 or Remington 7-1/2 primer

  • is it cheaper to buy your ammo or reload it ya reloading takes longer but its some thing to do and to keep busy

  • nothing fancy using a rather nice fancy powder dispenser. just kiding keep the great vids coming

care to do a table review sometime in the future, I want to buy one of those.

  • First off, keep it civil. No need to start foaming at the mouth. Secondly, if you had actually met me you'd know that I am more well-traveled and better schooled than you probably ever will be. Thirdly, I didn't assume anything. Notice how I use terms like "probably" and "seemingly" specifically for the purpose of avoiding assumptions. Fourthly, having $400 stored electronically doesn't mean that is all I have. Learn to read properly first, before advising others on grammar schooling.

  • Why is that you using modifiers makes your assumptions "not assumptions," when my saying "I bet you do" (emphasis on "bet") doesn't? Please learn to read before you instruct others to learn to read. I "bet" that your travels take you between the liqueur store and the outhouse. I said nothing about what you have total, I just suggested a constructive way to spend your $400. Please learn to read. Also, 1 post from 1 account will do.

  • The Patriot Act was introduced by DEMOCRATIC Senator Russ Feingold and backed by some Republicans but mostly by Democrats, who are now trying to pin it on the Republican party now that popular sentiment is against it. Just like they did with the Iraq War. It helps to dig a little deeper than the CNN daily report sometimes.

  • how are the bullet sizes messured?

  • Nice, this got featured! 5/5!

  • Damn man if there was a zombie outbreak u would be prepared for it lol

  • I'm going to be getting the Ruger SR-556 this year!!!!

  • reminds me of a .50 cal rounds

  • 5.45

  • I like those bullets! Is it just me or are they a heck of a lot longer than the standard .223 loadings? Almost looks like a 5.45...

  • Awsome!Nutin Fancy& Doodle,Bjork fans???

  • This was a featured video on yt wow moving up in the world great video !

  • can i shoot 5.56 out of a .223 barrel? because ive heard that it will mess up my barrel.

  • not a good idea, mostly due to pressure and such. I have heard of some people doing it a lot and never having any problems but personally if you want to shoot 5.56 it would probably be better to just get a different upper. you can shoot .223 in a 5.56 and there is no problem except it might reduce your accuracy a bit. hope this helps!

  • Using commercial .223 cartridges in a 5.56-chambered rifle should work reliably, but generally will not be as accurate as when fired from a .223-chambered gun due to the excessive leade. [3] Using 5.56 mil-spec cartridges (such as the M855) in a .223-chambered rifle can lead to excessive wear and stress on the rifle and even be unsafe

  • It's not really the barrel you have to worry about, it's the chamber. Most commercial AR's are chambered for 5.56 unless otherwise indicated. Hunting-type weapons are probably .223 though, best look up your gun to make sure. 5.56 is loaded a bit hotter than .223 so it might cause damage to a .223-chamebered gun. Again, check to make sure. I'm pretty sure theres a forum out there for whatever you're shooting.

  • I use junk mail envelopes for storring my different reloads [OK if it does not rain].

  • So apparently my video response didn't work. So I'll beoch out and type it in. I am moving towards putting in more effort here, I feel that you guys deserve the courtesy of a vid. Anyway...

I want to know if these heavy bullets would be good to go in my busshy varminter (24" fluted barrel). Also why crimp these? They are LR rounds... probably not fired at rapid rates... I guess I just want to know. So far I have not crimped any of my loads (55gr V max). Should I? I hear accuracy suffers.

  • On the issue of crimping: It is only neccessary IF the cartridge you using doesnt hold the bullet when another is fired.. If the bullets are "backing out" of the case when you shoot, then you need to crimp them... HOWEVER, this is usually only needed for larger calibers.. RECOIL is what makes the bullets move, Accuracy will suffer IF the cases are not uniformly trimmed, and your using a roll crimp. A tamper crimp is better but usually requires a seperate die and a seperate step..

  • Here's one for nutnfancy and fans, you say that if you allow the government to take away your gun they will then take away your freedoms. Well what about the patriot act? Your guns didn't stop that did they? If the politicians wrap whatever they want up in a flag you except it like a child eating vegetables surrounded in mashed potatoes. If a government wants to take away your rights they will do it without military action, like the German government did with the Reichstag decree.

  • I think you were looking for the word accept not except. By the way leaving comments like this is a good way to get banned from nutn's channel.

  • Firstly, arguing against grammar/spelling shows you don't have a strong argument for the actual point, and also I am sure nutn is smart enough to realize that it was a point for debate not trolling.

  • Wasn't arguing just letting you know that this isn't a place for debate.

  • I've seen many a debate in the comments section in his videos, debate it always good.

  • Germany? Ever hear of this guy named Aldof? he struggled... for change... and then his first step was registration of firearms. After that, well lets just say he was an evil frack. If washington wants to listen in on me that's fine because there is nothing I'm trying to hide. It depends how far they take it... but I'd rather catch some terror plot than keep an affair private. And my only affair is with a carbine, I love my wife still.

  • Ever read into the history of the causes of WW2? The "I have nothing to hide argument is stupid, in the UK we have a number of databases, with information and DNA of 3 year olds in it, why would they want that information? I recommend reading "'I've Got Nothing to Hide' and Other Misunderstandings of Privacy" if you want. But anyway I have to go to bed now as it's rather late here :)

    Night!

  • Hows the gun free UK doing? At one time I did hear about knife crimes rising... so much so that they were going to regulate kitchen knives. Not to mention you've got no way to hunt the kings deer. Are you allowed arrows?

I do agree with you, so our arguing is kinda stupid... I don't think government should have much influence over the individual. However, Bush was a decent president. He was not excellent, but I do believe in water-boarding and profiling terrorists. Sorry, I look at arabs funny.

  • dude i agree with you but i know that people are going to give both of use thumbs down because we have differing views with what the people that believe everything the media spits out of this acidic mouth

  • I like guns, and I like freedom. I believe that the government should stay out of my business. I hated bush. They trashed the constitution, invaded my privacy, and then said it was for my own good. An American should never have to sacrifice liberty for safety. Liberty is more important. The government grew huge under Bush. I felt ripped off.

  • John Ascroft was a progun attorney General and they didn't reinstate the AW ban and they did help me start a business so I liked him.

  • The Libertarian party seems the most consistent. Bush promised a lot of things and then ended up appeasing the Demokrauts.

  • Um, in what way did he appease Dems? I care more about his lies to me. I refuse to reflect his failure on the liberals.

  • Probably because you are one. When did he lie? I love how the Democraps act like he is retarded, except when it's their fault. Then he is elevated to the status of manipulating evil genius. How did he appease them? Well gee, Stimulus Bills, tax hikes etc. Pretty much after the 2006 elections he let them take over. No freedom loving American would EVER support subsidizing a company with THEIR tax money.

  • 1st, I never said he was retarded, or represented myself as a democrat. Second, do you keep your money in an FDIC secured bank? I bet you do. You must not be a freedom loving American then. Once again, I will not reflect his failures on the democrats. I am capable of being an adult. You also need to remember that many republican had to vote for the stimulus as well. I think their snooping on Americans was a bigger affront to freedom and liberty that the stimulus debate.

  • What are you crying about? The majority of Congress Republicans OPPOSED the bailouts, while the majority of the libs supported it. They won because the libs are in command now. I keep my money in a local Credit Union which is therefore not FDIC secured, all $400 of it. All my transactions are via cash whenever possible. Don't make assumptions about people you've never met.

  • What a hypocrite, you assume shit about me and we have never met. There are THOUSANDS of gov. subsidized companies in the United States, and have been for a long time. Why would a government subsidy be "anti-freedom?" Go ahead and blame everything on the Dems you bleating sheep. I give credit for mistakes to the person who makes the mistakes. Have you gone to school? "They won because the libs are in command now." Spend that $400 on some schooling on tenses.

  • lol, nice :P

  • Nope, sorry, never heard of "Aldof".

  • nice to see the long anticipated reload vid

  • this is a stupid question but i just wanted to know: do you reuse the shelles you fired already or do you buy new ones?

  • You can re-use the same brass several times depending on how you load it.

  • I love the organization. Great job. As always, you guys rock. Love seeing you with the family and friends, good times.

  • I envy you.

  • whats fake about it you can clearly see what they are doing

  • dude ur a dumb shit its clearly not a fake he explains and does everything he should be doing

  • how is it fake?

  • umm how is it fake?

  • making you own reloads, damn thats awesome! I've always seen these types of tools in the local gun shops and I've always wanted to learn about the process.

Wicked Video. I hope we will see more about this!

  • you better have some serious barrel twist for a 77 grain, my RRA bull barrel with a 1 in 8 twist loves 75g smk hpbt, puts every bullet in the same hole at 100yds...

  • every time doodle says "to inflict damage upon flesh" i LOL!!!!!

  • I'm curious as to your results. I've gone up to 23.6 of TAC using 75gr Hornady BTHPs and Wolf SRM primers. Velocity was midway between 5.56 TAP and .223 TAP. Accuracy out of a Sig 556 sucked. Need to check them against a 20" Colt HBAR...

  • Looks like a load of fun, great way to spend an evening with you kid =D

  • make sure you use the tip of those calipers, other wise you might get bogus readings. I speak from experience

  • Cool video Nutn. Glad you're a Youtube Partner.

I always thought reloading as a boring process..

  • Lovin' the bullet & reloading technobabble. Makes my head spin & I like it! Hehehe... No seriously, I love the fact that you guys are so knowledgable and obviously enjoy what you do. Keep it up! Lookin' forward to future vids!

  • The 2nd Amendment is meant for us to be able to protect ourselves from all threats including the government if nescessary, god forbid. Could you do that with a hunting rifle? I think not.

  • Sure you can! Just have to learn to shoot like Oswald!

    =DDDDDD

  • hey does anybody know if i can make some rounds for my FN five seven ive been out for 2 months and cant find any and i was hoping to get some halo

  • by assembling the round himself he has positive assurance that the round is as consistent as possible... it's a great and beautiful thing.

  • LOL! YOU GOT FEATURED MAN!! CONGRATZ But they have been featuring every partner...

  • to inflict damage upon flesh hahaha

  • i think it's sick that he makes the bullet.
