It's completely different from CSI. Sorry but I have a thing against that, it's more of the field work and it has the forensics in it but more of it is field work and they only investigate Navy crimes.

Right but to differentiate itself from CSI, NCIS places more emphasis on the characters, which in turn drives the stories. And that's by design from the very beginning.

Acutally I think they are I was watching an interview and they said that everyone is going to think they know what's going to happen the first episode of season 7 after having seen season 6 finale, but they'll be completely wrong that it'll be so shocking and stuff.
