I would had choose Super NES anyways, Super Mario World is way more challenging, Sonic is fast but the game is too easy for me to beat and it doesn't had multiplayer. $199.95 with a free game (with multiplayer) and 2 controllers is more awesome than a console with 1 free game that only has 1 player and one controller. Hmmm how Sega manage to put Nintendo's product on their commercial kinda puzzled me.

Play Ristar, Sonic 1-3&K, Streets of Rage 2-3, Phantasy Star 2-4, Vectorman 1-2, Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3, Pulseman, Beyond Oasis, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, Dynamite Headdy, Comix Zone, Ecco: The Tides of Time, Super Fantasy Zone, Ghouls N' Ghosts, Earthworm Jim, Castlevania Bloodlines, Contra Hard Corps , MUSHA, Gaiares, and Lightening Force.
My God...the amount of smack Sega used to lay down on Nintendos door! I seem to remember that Nintendo did have little pops back, but they never seemed to base whole campaigns on simply taking the proverbial out of another console. Oh well...all good clean family fun...these days the only people that compete like that are supermarkets and thats just boring.

Actually, Genesis is simply a lot less for more. I mean, you add the Sega CD and 32X to it and it costs WAY more than a SNES. SNES doesn't need tons of accessories to do what it does.
@nooblet911 I think super mario world had better graphics, music, gameplay, and pretty much everything elsecompared to the first sonic. A better comparison would be mario world vs. sonic 3 or Sonic & knuckles.
@nooblet911 Well, you could just run mindlessly through the levels, or you could take time to search the levels to find secrets. Further expanded upon with S3/S&K with it's branching paths and special stage rings.

This was not from 1989... This from around 91 or 92.
1.) Sonic was not released until 1991
2.) SNES was brand new according to this commercial, released in 1991.
