  • Wow so sugar is compared to the likes of crack. Interesting. But I guess it is kinda addicting. I heard that it was the processed sugar and the high fructose corn syrup that was bad for people though. I kinda suspect that too much could aid in wearing out the body and some of its systems. I plan to cut back but I'm going to try to do it wisely

  • The FDA approved aspartame. I'm pretty sure they'd approve sugar. ;)

  • Hi Sean...I just started watching your videos and I don't know if you respond to questions here, but I have a question and I would really appreciate it if you answered it..does L-glutamine work at controlling sugar cravings if candida overgrowthis the underlying cause of the cravings or is it only effective for those not dealing with yeast and parasite issues?

  • Sugar cravings are there for a reason. Humans are frugivores and should be consuming massive amounts of fruit. If you aren't, then at least make up those carbs with rice, potatoes, etc.

  • Be careful though man I mean this assumes that the good guy is DEFINITELY fat and the bad guy is DEFINITELY carbs... I'm not convinced just yet lol

Remember that fruits are loaded with simple sugar (fructose) and many believe our sugar cravings are related to carb-fuelling of the body for things like fruits.

    Anyway, still learning here :)

  • My answer to the title: Yes.

i kinda realized this a few weeks ago lol

  • Im going through major sugar cravings atm. Im stocking up on L-Glutamine on Monday bc cravings suck!

  • go vegan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've tried L Glutamine, it does work. :)

  • I'm going to train myself to lucidly dream so I can start sugar binging while I sleep.

  • man you rock, thanks

  • Almost everyone I went to public school with were just batsh*t about sugar. XD I'm more partial to savory foods myself.

  • What is your take on marijuana?

  • Does anyone else think carbohydrates are better tolerated in the evening? I feel I can eat several pieces of fruit at dinner and be fine, but 1 orange at breakfast and I'm out cold all day...

  • I've decided to taper off sugar. I sat and though about how much sugar I was consuming excluding the meals I had. I had as a minimum 4 cups of tea or coffee. Each time was 2 tspns of sugar. I'm going to see how I go. I can have tea with no sugar. That's no probs. Coffee is a challenge. Is honey a good alternative??? Can you answer this for me underground?

  • @rhschou it's still sugar, just in a natural form. Every time i eat honey i still get sugar cravings

  • If one eats some protein together with good fats/oils, that sugar craving will wane. I know this to be a fact bcz I was once a HUUUUGE sugar addict. You gotta have the oils with the protein. Interestingly, if you eat animal proteiin it includes the fats. It comes with the meat...mother nature made it so.

  • To kick my sugar cravings, I chew up some brownies/cake/white chocolate stuff and spit it out.. so i get to taste it but my body doesn't have to digest it. Then I eat a ton of sunflower seeds or almonds or something.. If that doesn't work, I know I need to make some food and eat a meal.

  • good stuff

  • What about birthday cakes? And Christmas. And the hundreds of other social events that revolve around sugar. Some are easy to skip like the church social with deserts. But for the family, what kind of support does the addict have? I realize there are all kinds of subsitutes but asking someone to cook with substitutes is kind of like asking an achoholic to sit around a bar and drink fake drinks. Not very satisfying. It's much more complicated than meets the eye.

  • so how would i get rid of sugar? is honey okay? or another type of sugar?

  • @millienl No, honey is still sugar. There is a thing called Stevia though, which is essentially the best sugar alternative for you.

  • when i try to eat less sugar i get horrible headaches so i just go back to it :(

  • This is so true..I had a month of pure surger craving since I had my baby..Gosh it is taking me 2 weeks now to get off of suger..This is serious crap...

  • :( I'm never going to be able to kick my sugar addiction... *Going to kitchen for some chocolate turtle pie and pepsi*

  • it is a drug, or close to it...because I don't have to track my menstrual cycle...I know its getting close because i'll think "wow a piece of chocolate cake would be good right now" And yes, pms is worse when I don't eat right all month.

  • hmmm when u think about it oxygen is the route of this! if we cut that out we wont even think about sugar & anything else that has sugar in it

  • I got a quote for ya "Cocaine is a hell of a drug....."

  • thank god i'm clean!

  • Super info! Thanks!

  • "Why do I feel like crap?! Because you just ate crap!" haha good one! Love your vids

  • OMFGGGG

    this happened to me!!

i was doing clean until the holidays!!

  • Does L-glutamine taste sweet?

  • Answer: yes...

  • Good video, but there are some sugars that are not that bad. Such as the ones in some fruits. Same thing with natural sugar cane.

  • this is a rerun :-)

  • wasnt this video posted months ago?

  • @johnpsmith84

I think so, he took all of his videos down a week ago but people have been begging him to put them back up and that is what he seems to be doing.

  • i LOVE your videos when you talk about it instead of some random stuff -.-"

  • Will try that L-Glutamine!!

  • sugar is necessary to the health. is just that refined sugar is just pure calories without any nutrients! all you need to do to detox your body is to eat good nutritious and avoid refine and processed food. Eat mainly fruits and veggies poultry fish or lamp. Sugar is supposed to be somewhat addicted or else babies would feed on breast milk.

  • sugar is necessary to the health. is just that refined sugar is just pure calories without any nutrients!

  • You should clarify that you're talking about refined sugar.

  • I'm two weeks into a diet and I want a chocolate bar so much right now. How would you recommend kicking the sugar habit?

  • @TheNobleBard

eat the chocolate bar. A good diet is balanced, eat the chocolate bar but cut back on something else. Diets fail when you hate doing them

  • i love these kind of videos, very informative

  • theres sugar in every fucking thing how is it possible to rid of it, just eat out of a garden... where i live it's snowy almost all year you know how hard it is to get fruits and vegetables?

  • @xXBluefox4Xx Frozen fruits and frozen veggies are always available and inexpensive during the winter months. If you stick to the "parameter" of the supermarket where the natural food is and stay away from processed foods that dont need to be kept cold you will find that it is not as difficult as you think!

  • @xXBluefox4Xx Eat meat and nuts dude. It's not that hard to avoid.

  • @Chaaarge Caffeine is addictive but we don't eat that straight out of a jar... Nicotine is addictive but we dont sniff that right out of a can. I think your logic is flawed.

  • If sugar really was addictive we would be eating it straight out of a jar. We eat it because we simply find the combination of "sugar+ a lot of other stuff" tasty. Sugar on its own doesn't even taste good, a pastry however, does. btw, this does not mean that I'm saying sugar is healthy. I know that it's just empty calories we don't need, and that's why I don't eat it. But let's keep it real, how many people actually feel bad after having a little bit of sugar? Aren't we being paranoid here?

  • refined sugar is shit it make you old blind your skin goes older all of you go to hell..

  • why you feel like crap? because you just ate crap (Y)

  • why you feel like crap? because you just eat crap (Y)

  • i got a friend whos addicted to crack

  • @Localbandito1

My land lord is hooked on crack :(

  • Is this a reupload? It is kind of ironic that I had a dream about french toast smothered in maple syrup and I was debating with myself whether or not I should take a bite and then I see this reuploaded video about sugar addictions. Ha! Ha! I'm dreaming about sweets y'all, so sad...

  • WOW!This video post came at a great time. Today I was about to start the Master Cleanse diet to detoxify my body and help me to get rid of the sugar addiction I have. I am extremelyyyy addicted to sugar and my friends laugh at me when i say that, because they think i am just being dramatic.

My question is though... do you think the Master Cleanse is a good idea to jumpstart ones body as well as eliminate cravings?

  • @MzFluffyLady I used the Master Cleanse to detox last year and it was effective in eliminating my sugar addiction. Now I have a much lower tolerance for sugar. If I eat too much processed sugar, I'll get a headache within 30 minutes.

  • @decor8mylife That's great.. thats exactly what i want the Master Cleanse to do.. So far day 1 isnt too bad..Looking forward to being free of my sugar cravings.

  • There are few haters here. Shame I had to get off the sugar the hard way. When you think about it even if l-glutamine was a placebo, it would still help a lot.

  • wow! i'm about to research l-glutamine..

  • @brnize1969 I take 2+ Grams a day, for working out and immune system, and I crave sugar. I have never heard of it as helping sugar cravings, it does for him but not me. Just saying as I have been taking it for almost a decade and I still crave sugar at times. Maybe I am taking him to literally as a magic pill, LOL!

  • Where can i find L-Glutamine

  • @GregThatDudeTv It will be sold by supplement websites. So find a site that sells protein powders, creatine etc... and they should sell it.

  • @GregThatDudeTv.

At a supplement store? It's cheap as fuck.

  • @orks2 I wish fuck was cheaper than you make it out to be :D

  • @futoncat.

    Haha. xD

Yup... As do i... as do i...

  • will try the L-Glutamine. thx for sharing

  • wow once you mentioned that april fools video, it made me realized that I've been watching your vids for that long :O
