Don't you want people to start buying products during a recession? I thought when money is being spent by the large majority of the people, our economy is boosted. Although chips and soda are expensive, maybe $15 at most (depending on how much is bought) I doubt the money for the chips would have paid for the months rent or bills. The best Advice for anyone to give during this time, is make your monthly payments before you spend money on chips and soda and plasma screens.

Yeah, they're called tv time outs. They have breaks specifically for advertising. It's not that the game has so many breaks. Again, they have breaks for advertising "tv time outs". Who pays the high salaries of atheletes? ,the sponsors. Again, the breaks are not part of the game. They're part of paying for the game. Where are you from?

i couldn't watch a team sport with so many breaks in play. theres no momentum. players and fans need continuous, on the edge of your seat drama throughout. you dont get that with american "football".
yes, the sponsors pump lots of money into the game, but if you had no fans attending or watching, there wouldn't be any sponsors.

Tell me about it. I enjoy watching the games on tv. But at the one preseason game I attended, I was always wondering, "why are the players standing around on the field?". They're waiting for the tv timeout to finish. That's the nature of the game. It's big business. And americans are crazy about their football. But is your disdain really for the game or is it the USA? I'm not a die hard nationalist or sports fanatic so either way I dont' care. So, where are you from?

The sponsors don't pay the salaries of the players... Sponsorship of an individual player can contribute to "part" of thier salary, But you the fan pay his salary. Everytime you buy his jersey.. or go to the game.... or buy anything with an NFL logo on it... that is how he is getting paid!

I'm not sure the government is regulating those advertisements... I mean, obviously the only companies represented during the super bowl were the ones with enough money to spend on frivolous advertising. They don't care about the economy or anything else going on, all they care about is making money. I'm not sure we should be targeting the government about the companies that buy advertisement spots during the super bowl.
