@MrMitchBaier It depends on what kind of housing you headlights are. If you car has the reflective housing which is the one that looks like a buch of little mirrors. However Hid lights ARE legal if you have projector headlights which are the one with the round glass lense.

For my Green HIDS they reflect off signs super well here in texas : ) And also I can see wayy better since mine are 100 Watt HID kit not those wimpy 35 watt kits : )
And yes there is such thing as 55 watt 70 watt and 100 watt : ) You just have to know where to get them and China is not the place : P

For North Dakota, A green hid kit in your fog lights is only illegal if the bulb is visible. I have a 2010 fusion with 10,000 nottos in my headlights and 30,000 green in my fog lights with Aline electronics ballasts. Never ticketed, if you would read the state and county laws, you would see differances in the two while green is frowned upon, it is not yet "illegal" here. So maybe you dhould open a state and local page about legalities of headlights before you become a major douche

@bradjbird perhaps they're acceptable where you live, but over here the law clearly states that the only colour lamps allowed at the front of the car are amber for indicators and yellow or white for headlights and fog lights.
If a cop here catches you with purple or green headlights, you can count on your registration being revoked on the spot. You then get 14 days to prove that you've fixed your headlights or your car is confiscated and scrapped.
I don't get it. I had 8k hid which was blue then I upgraded to 12k Which was purple and now I'm At 15k which is even deeper purple. And my girlfriend has 30k which are pink. How the fuck does an extra 6kelvin make it green. I think this whole color spectrum is bs now lol.

I had green hid's for about a month until I put my 8000k's back in. They defiantly were a head turner, but I got tired of driving around looking back thinking when will I see those flashing red and blue lights even though cops here don't really care and the fact I passed plenty of cops; but it only takes one asshole to pull me over and give me a ticket. Nice I have green HIDs in my 97 Monte Carlo Z34 and I switch between them and 10,000k HIDs. However I do believe that they are 3000k and not 36,000k. Also, polishthug, that sucks that you lose points, I have never even pulled over for them in Canada. And I know its only a $110 ticket if I do lol
i thought its was 3k with a special film on the bulb. I was told yellow, red and green, have the highest lumiem or whatever the word is. because they all are 3k, just have special film around the bulb

technically there's no such thing as 36k color temperature. Green exists somewhere between 3k and 4k.
green HIDs are a bit much though. I preper 5-6ks. The advantage of having HIDs is brighter, more visible light. not to see less...
