Nazia was married in March 30, 1995 with Mirza Ishtiaq Baig. This marriage was a complete failure and Nazia Hassan got divorced just before her demise. Nazia Hassan died in August 13, 2000 due to lung cancer at age 35

I remember seeing Nazia in a wedding when I was 14. She walked in with a group of white British women- smiling and chatting, wearing a yellow churridar pyjama and orange kurta with a double shaded dupatta. She had no makeup - or anything. That day I discovered she was not photogenic at all. In real life she was as delicate as a daffodil. She was white as snow and had a ceraphic/angelic quality to her.
