I'm saying that regardless of his super star status,radio air time, hit songs, mega-band status with Soundgarden, AudioSlave, Temple of the Dog, Movie sound tracks ect., in my opinion,he STILL doesn't get the credit he deserves.Okay, example-when was the last song released by...let's say...Lionel Richie or Phil Collins ? 15-20 yrs ago? Yet almost everyone on the planet young/old-white/black/hispanic­/oriental/european knows who they are.Not that they weren't talents- but not the same league...

do you see what I'm saying...I realize the genre of musical styles are different, some would maintain that Pop music lends itself to a wider audience, I accept that (with some regret) but it's my point exactly.Too bad that some people who confine themselves to one genre or were too young...or old to catch him starting out and a shame that some wouldn't dream of listening to sing because it's rock. Under rated.

When i first heard the album i yearned to hear those songs with a full band and i guess the live experience will provide that. This version on paper ought to be better than the album version but it just doesn't work in my opinion - it seems a little clumsy in the editing (dropping the "you're like diamonds...." from before the first chorus seems to rush things. Not to worry, it's just a relief to know the man is still with us.

hell no, this version is the best. The softness suits the lyrics of the song. This is perfection. I just broke up with my boyfriend and moved back to my country...this song makes me feel alot better. Its so soothing.
