OFP had such a cool atmosphere, it really felt like a war, not like arma with crappy voice acting and boring campaign.

@kuqui94 Sorry for late response- Get expansion pack called RESISTANCE For your OFP Cold War Crysis (like 10dollars or less.. cause its old) ... Then update your Ofp Cold War Crysis with Expansion pack Resistance installed to 1.96 and then go to multiplayer!

Arma 2 sucks. Graphics are good but it lags on a computer which can handle Crysis at maxed settings. Radio chatter sucks compated to OFP's version. Arma basicly is a better looking but worse performing game.

@9MinamiKe6 arma 2 runs way better in newest version, vsync option and lots of performance optimizations. crysis didnt have vsync and arma 2 did, but now you can disable it and get about twice the FPS and no mouse lag.

@Leopardipzg Crysis does have a v-sync option. I can enable it in the graphics card driver menu

@Etleaders Get a depbo tool and search for the file music.pbo in ofp folder. Unpack it with that tool and play the .ogg files with VLC player ^^

Yup, I wish they'd put half as much love & attention to detail in the ArmA campaign as they did with the OFP campaigns. ArmA feels like a half-finished game to me.

OFP was buggy on initial release though (mismatched textures, problems walking inside buildings, clipping everywhere).

True, but they did fix most bugs eventually. And it's not as if ArmA, out of the box, didn't have its share of problems.

We can say ArmA was a prototype. But ArmA 2 even brings back OFP soundtracks...

I dont recall any bugs. I played on a 400mhz celeron and voodoo 3, it ran fine and never bugged.

ArmA2 is much more like a labour of love; BIS admitted they didn't put the effort into ArmA that they should have.

I don't know if the campaign will be as good as OFP, but the environment they have made for the game is pretty much a masterpiece.
