The BX8a sounds really good. I'm not too familiar with the BX5a, but I can pretty much assure you that there will be a fuller sound from the bi-amped BX8a. I know for sure that it hits a lot harder and a lot louder. I would really recommend the upgrade b/c they are stunning!!!
