@jomthr33 I went to a service centre for a couple of times now (and the phone is still there for a week now) .The battery level is unreliable .When the phone is charged up to 100% then unplugged,the phone is dead.Some day it is good ,most days it just dropped dead ,I just bought a Samsung 'Champ' to substitute it,brilliant for a hundred dollar .MS is also more chunky and heavier than other android's,the keyboard is not easy to type (like Some of those Samsung's).

Android is such a smart and advanced OS. Apple wishes they can get the iPhone to do this much and still run as fast as it does. the only reason iOS is as quick as it is is because the device is nothing but a bunch of icons on a grid that essentially are shortcuts to opening applications.

@Olegacy0. The droid's physical keyboard has not gotten very good reviews from people, but they all claim u get used to it. I personally have tried it out and I love it, so it's just based solely on personal preference.

I love the fact that after having such a thorough, well thought out and well versed review, he randomly says toward the end, "...you can't just hit the menu you button twice to unlock it, which I find to be a real pain in the ass."

Honestly though, I appreciate that description very much, because that would be how I'd think about it. Great review!!!

I had a similar problem with the camera but I solved it by using the button on the screen and takes it right away. I even got a picture of a pitcher throwing a 90 mph baseball, you can even see the baseball. I love the fact that you can upload pictures and videos right to youtube and facebook in seconds!

I got me a droid about a week ago. I pay $90/month. $59.99 for 450 anytime minutes + unlimited texting, and $29.99 for unlimited web/internet WHICH IS REQUIRED because the droid is always connected to the web. the absolute cheapest you can go is $70/mo. ($40 month for 450 min. + $30 unlimited internet). On the other hand, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my MotoDroid. It's fucking TITS. free GPS, unlimited amount of great apps and so much more!

i looked at this phone at the verizon store and did find diffficulty in using the keyboard (buttons too close to eachother, small, and my thumbs kept bumping the top frame when i click any button on the top line which is almost a deal breaker...is that one of the problems you adjusted to?

@lpkid17 I had the voyager too since it came out , i remember paying 299 for it with 2 year contract. My contract expired in September but i just ordered the Droid today. Kinda funny that Droid cost me less than voyage. Voyager is a great phone but it doesnt compare to Droid obv. If you really want it you could sell the voyager on ebay for 100-200 and buy the droid from ebay for about 400ish which would cost u about 200 with no contract!

I wonder if they're gonna try and fix the keyboard. Overall, I don't think it's bad. It's just that the buttons are so hard to press down. I took my phone (LG Voyager) and picked up a Droid and compared the keyboards, and the Droid's keys are pretty hard to push down, which kinda makes it hard to type fast.

Bought one shortly after it came out; it's a decent phone, the apps work well. Great for pandora radio in the car - i phones are nice too, but the carrier coverage.... not much else to say.

If you must have outstanding photographs, consider a camera. The Droid receives and transmits well and the OS is fast enough. Agree re. the size and difficulties with one-handed use - so I use two hands.

Thats pretty expensive! I could get that for around 4 per month dollars here in Pakistan...but its over a EDGE connection so its not as fast as 3G but still... and SMS Bundles go as low as 1 dollar par month for around 2500 messages..:)...

I'm so excited about the Android platform and what's to come.  In a years time, there will be at least a half dozen Snap Dragon Android devices.

No matter who your carrier, Android will most likely have you covered. This phone is a fantastic demo of what's to come.

Unfortunately Verizon won't sell you a Droid, or activate a Droid on your plan, without the $30/month data charge. The Droid does have Wifi so you can use your home network for data if you wish, but you still have to pay.

I had the same problem with the GPS as far as giving absurd directions. I'm from NE Philadelphia and I typed in a very busy address on a main highway and it put the ending destination a block behind the building on a different street. I also had the same problem of it giving me a round-about route instead of a straight line route. I wouldn't trust their GPS mapping. My old Verizon Voyager GPS worked much better than Googles mapping GPS.

I',m kinda shocked that there is no swipe in the galleria. That's more of a standard feature on touch screen phones. My non-smart phone enV Touch had it too.

Like making a Cadillac without cup holders.

720x480 or whatever is NOT 720p... you look at the SECOND number for the resolution of display devices... IE, a computer at 1080x700 is not 1080p, it is 700. currently im at 1680x1050 so im using 1050 resolution... ALMOST full HD, best a 22' can pull off...... just don't be confused, this phones does not record HD
