@mps927 Not sure if someone responded to you yet but yes, it's called a filter and there are several different kinds but they're meant to protect the lens and/or improve the photo quality. If you simply want to protect the lens you need a UV filter, which is clear. A polarizing filter is the next most common filter type, which is primarily meant for landscape photography to reduce lens' reflections and increase contrast in the photo. Hope this helps

Actually is P:Programmed-Auto, S:Shutter PRIORITY, A: Aperture PRIORITY, M: MANUAL..you said them wrong, just saying.

P chooses aperture and shutter speed

S: You choose Shutter spd, camera chooses aperture

A: You choose aperture, camera chooses shutter spd.

M: You choose both Aperture and Shutter spd..
