Awesome review!!! :D its been 2 years...how is the camera doing now? :) I'm also planning on getting the Nikon D3100. I've done my research and this is the one I want also because I'm a beginner. :)
Best review style I've seen, so natural and relaxed and gave the essential information for anyone thinking of getting started in Digital SLR photography. Excellent job!
thanks kingatlas..i just bought this same model of slr and i still need lots of tutorials to actually get to know the fns and stuff of this model...thanks for posting a video like this...it helped me!!
how long does this camera last if you take care of it really well does anybody know, and does anybody know how long your battery lasts for a day if you charge it on a morning and use it all day????
best review for the D3100 i've seen, it's great to not have a really serious professional talking jargon... good job :) can't wait to get this camera!
Loved this review. I'm in the same boat you were in. I'm purchasing my first SLR in a little over a week. I have pretty much settled on the Nikon D3100. It's in my price range and from all the research I've done, this camera looks really good. I can't wait to get it and start taking pictures.
Nice review there bro. I have researched a lot already about this camera and I am planning to get one next saturday. I love this camera and I think it has relatively few negative comments. I'm new to this photography thing, I want to learn some more. Can you suggest good sites about photography.
@DumbDoraTheExplorer i feel this gap within what appears semi professional and professional is little these days. d7000 is all everyone need. go to... freedslr dot com change dot with . and get a way to bring home a Brand New Nikon D7000
I have a question. I can not adjust the aperture and ISO at the M A & S modes of my D3100. I am new to this SLR camera thing, so can you show me how? Thanks I appreciate it.
u look so hot lol...but my question is is it really good dslr? im getting mine in a few weeks til now can't decide which one to buy either d5000 or d3100...tanx... mwah
im a complete noob to camera's...can someone send me a link to something that will protect it while using it. i think they're called filter. i could be completely wrong. let me know, thanks!
@mps927 Not sure if someone responded to you yet but yes, it's called a filter and there are several different kinds but they're meant to protect the lens and/or improve the photo quality. If you simply want to protect the lens you need a UV filter, which is clear. A polarizing filter is the next most common filter type, which is primarily meant for landscape photography to reduce lens' reflections and increase contrast in the photo. Hope this helps

You said at 2:30 : " ...with your program Auto, Shutter Auto, Priority Auto, And your Aperture"..
Actually is P:Programmed-Auto, S:Shutter PRIORITY, A: Aperture PRIORITY, M: MANUAL..you said them wrong, just saying.
P chooses aperture and shutter speed
S: You choose Shutter spd, camera chooses aperture
A: You choose aperture, camera chooses shutter spd.
M: You choose both Aperture and Shutter spd..
