If any one out there wants one of these for free look up Hughco video to get my number. I will send you one that I took out ( cause they don't work) you just pay shipping.
The LYNX was designed to to give a false sense of security to the customers and to make easiest the job to the dealers.. To the big companies the customer is only another account, they don't care about their security.
New grad accepts job at $35 per hour. Works 40 hours first week and following week gets notified by manager that it is expected to put in 50 hours per week.
Employee puts in extra hours expecting it to show up in paycheck. Guess what? Paycheck only reflects 40 hours! WTF? Employee checks with HR and gets rude awakening: it is Honeywell policy to not pay overtime but CHARGE the customer the overtime ANYWAY!!! Way to go Honey!
Worst demo ever. You cant install this system near the entrance door. It has to be hidden in some part of the house so it cant be destroyed that easy.
REMEMBER! if you put an alarm system in your house, this will not 100% protect you but instead it gives you a relax mind because you have security .... ALARM SYSTEM = EXTRA PROTECTION only !!! if you want more protection, you should install a higher security alarm system and a GUN at home! :--)
@cantusterroco You're right about a security system not always offering 100% complete protection, common sense is also very important. Clearly you're American because you talk about having a gun at home, here in Australia it is against the law to possess a firearm, I'm very glad of this, having a gun at home is asking for trouble, I don't believe guns are the answer to home security.
@Lachlant1984 We were given the right to have guns to fight the government if they get too tyrannical. Regardless of what anybody tells you, thats the true reason for it. But i am curious, how is having a gun in your home asking for trouble?
@Maniac50AE What happens if your home is broken into and your gun gets stolen, that once happened to someone I knew before guns became illegal here. There's another person on the streets with a firearm who could potentially cause so much suffering and grief, and how would you feel if you knew it was your gun they were handling?
@Lachlant1984 what if someone steals your car then go on a high speed chase and crash into a family. that is the dumbest argument i ever heard of. you must be under the assumption that we didnt murder until we invented guns, wrong! people have been killin each other since the beginning of time. its the human factor that has to be dealt with. until then, crime will always be around. no law, no force, leader will ever stop that unless they dill with the flaw inherent in man.
but if someone comes and reps the system off the wall when they break in you think your protected then? lynx is a stand alone unit...i wouldn't get one.
Im not sure but you just game me an idea of what i should do with my custom system :) im going to add a mode for vision impared people. also im going to add voice dictation to it for impaired. :) thanks for the idea
That's a great idea for blind a vision impared people who live by themselves such as I do. I have no real need for an alarm, but some people who are blind may want to have one.

Dependable? What happens if burglar hits it with a hammer? I saw this happen. Dialer was damaged before exit entry time elapsed.

Next to the dorr, Easy pick the lock and kick the unit. Put the main unit in an instant zone so ife the area is opened they get caught.

@rynmullet
I agree with you rnymullet. All the burglar will have to do is kick the door in and rip the unit off of the wall.
