Guitar String Vibration Filmed in High Speed...

how ever it was, i am giving a presentation at my collage on the wave physics of stringed instruments and this was what i needed.. thanks.. i wanted to show that the strings dont vibrate on a single frequency but by a rather complex way..

You didn't film it in "high speed", you filmed it in "actual speed" with a high frame rate, then slowed it down. I actually came to this video thinking you were going to be playing some sweep picking or something. pretty lame.

@WMackbd if you have any experience in physics labs you'll know what high-speed cameras do. look up "high-speed camera" on wikipedia or something. it's used a lot to get detailed view of high-speed motions. have u ever seen slow-mo video of auto crash tests for example? they film those using high-speed cameras.

It's a cool idea, but I agree with others - the strings are far to loose to be interesting. This is the same as shaking a simple piece of string. Tighten the strings to actual tension and the vibrations should be a lot faster and more interesting, not just messy swinging. Cool concept, though - I think strings in slow motion are cool to watch.
