Why is it that these days most dubstep/breakbeat/dnb tracks have unmastered synths. Seems to be that it is becoming a trend.

They have those split second moments where the synthesis is entirely too loud in comparison with the drum samples. oh well.

@PhoniX2011 It could be that they're using compression methods like in house - you know that "pumping" sound you get in house when the kick hits? It just lowers the volume of something/everything else for that split moment, often for the purpose of making the entire track louder. "Sidechain Compression" it's called, if anyone's wanting to read more.
